“Derion!” I gasped, once I opened my eyes and realized what was happening. He has always been over the top romantic, it’s one of the things I love the most about him. He loves me loudly, shouting it from the mountains and rooftops with grand gestures and it makes my heart soar.
I looked around at the string lights hanging from the roof and the floor, covered in rose petals. I stepped in a little further to take in every detail. My eyes watered as tears threatened to spill over and I turned around to face Derion to find him down on one knee with giant letters behind him that read “marry me”.
“Oh my God,” I breathed as the tears broke free. He smiled up at me and I was so overwhelmed with emotions I couldn’t breathe.
“Yes! Yes! A thousand times, yes” I squealed as he laughed
