“Jake Lannister,” Cory’s voice boomed in the room. Everything stopped then. The men who were fighting Jake instantly stepped back, letting go of him.
Jake stood there, his gaze shifting from anger and hatred towards Cory, to worry and fear for Quinn. The end of the gun was still pointed at Jake.
“If you do not leave this room, I will kill you right in front of your wife,” Cory demanded, waving the gun in the direction of the door. Jake knew that if he didn’t comply, Cory would kill him without hesitation.
“If you so much as put a finger on her, I will end you myself, Cory.” Jake assured him, giving Quinn one last glance. Quinn was shaking from fear at this point and Jake felt so helpless. Huffing, Jake turned and walked out the door, Lila and the men all following closely behind.
