Chapter 9

Another week went by and I had decided to keep to my word. While cloaked, I waited as he fell asleep each night and watched over him. Most nights I just ended up falling asleep curled up on the chair across from his bed watching him. One night he started to stir and toss again, so I quickly dropped my cloak and joined him in the bed. I didn't have to wake him this time, I just wrapped him up in my arms like before and it didn't take long before he calmed back down again. Another night I was the one to wake him. When my own nightmare came, I dropped my jutsu in my sleep and he heard my soft whimpers. When I finally woke myself just before his alarm went off like I had grown accustom to, I found I was now curled in his lap in the chair, tucked tight against his chest. It had actually been a cute sight. When I looked up the back of his head was tilted back against the wall and his mask was on which had made me chuckle. But those were about the only docile moments we shared. Once awake, we were back to our bickering as I 'popped' in and out through the day. It was night now and I was following behind Kakashi as he left the three to themselves after turning in their 'mission' to the Hokage. "Watcha doin'?" I asked curiously. I had noticed he wasn't taking the usual path back to his apartment and jogged up beside him wondering what was up. He gave me a wary glance and groaned. Then he rubbed between his eyes like he was trying to stop an oncoming headache. "I need a drink." He muttered to himself, but I still heard it. Between me and his students constant whining about their lame 'missions', I'm surprised he held out nearly three weeks without a drink I thought to myself. We reached the bar shortly after, and without thinking, Kakashi opened the door and held it open for me. Then he noticed the stares of people passing by who couldn't see me and sweat dropped while quickly entering and closing the door behind him with a bit of a slam. I couldn't help but giggle as I followed behind him and he sent me a glare over his shoulder. I 'popped' back out then plopped onto the bar stool next to him, just simply waiting and watching again. At first not much was happening and I started to get bored just watching Kakashi slowly work on his drink. Deciding to take another break, I hopped back down from the stool and headed for the door. "I didn't order that." I heard Kakashi tell the bartender from behind me. Curiosity got the best of me and I looked back to see what was developing. The bartender just nodded his head down the bar. Kakashi and I both followed the direction of his gesture and saw a very pretty young black haired woman with deep blue eyes staring at Kakashi. She blushed when he looked her way and gave him a small wave. I don't know why I felt so surprised when Kakashi stood up, her drink in his hand, and made his way over to her. He sat down next to her and I found myself quickly feeling annoyed when she laid her hand on top of his the second he rested it on the bar top. And that's when I got my next brilliant idea to drive him mad with...yes, that's the reason...to drive him mad... Not wasting anymore time, I quickly left the bar and made my way back to the clothing stand from before. I skimmed through the racks so quick I'm surprised I even knew what I was even looking at. Perfect I thought with a chuckle. It was a very sleek and modern styled violet kimono. It was designed with a low hanging neckline that would dip just below my cleavage. The fabric was decorated with yellow lilies floating down to the hem that went to my calves. I quickly cloaked the kimono within my jutsu as I picked it off the rack. *-*-*-*-* The beautiful woman who had bought my drink-her name was Atana-and I were now sitting at a booth making small talk. I felt a pang of guilt towards this woman. I was attracted to her black hair and blue eyes cause they were just like Fig's. 'A perfect image that I can't have' is what I had referred to her as...but Atana was real and I could have her. * "I wear my nine-inch heels when we go to bed. I paint the color of my lips blood red-" Atana giggled at my silly joke, but I had already forgotten about it and noticed the bar wasn't so quiet as it usually was. "I get so animal like never before So you press play and I hit record-" "Do they do karaoke in here?" I asked Atana, looking around curiously. And then I spotted Fig sitting on top of the bar with her legs laid out across the top and leaning back on her hands. But she didn't look the same as she had always looked in her white top and blue shorts. Now she was wearing a purple kimono adorned with white flowers and a yellow sash keeping it wrapped shut. "'Cause we're dysfunctional physical Always slamming doors 'You're a b***h', throwing fits Always waging wars" And it was her that was singing. I looked back at Atana who was watching me as I watched 'nothing' and looking a bit perplexed. "Sorry, I thought I heard something." I answered sheepishly rubbing the back of my head. "Me and you Sad but true We're not us anymore But there's still one thing we're good for-" I dared to glance back at Fig, and now she had brought her knee up to her chest which revealed the very high and daring slit that went up the side of her kimono. I could see every inch of the bare skin on her right leg from toe to hip. I think my eyes might have bulged out if I hadn't gotten used to controlling myself around her these last few weeks. She gave me a wink and I think I blushed. Then she hopped down from the bar top and slowly started to walk towards me. "I'll give you one last night So make it twisted, Give you one last shot, go on and hit it Give me one last time to make me miss it! Baby, love me apocalyptic!" She sat down next to me, turning in the booth to face me. She positioned herself in a way that her knees were touching mine and both her thighs were completely exposed from the slits and the fabric in between it was the only thing keeping her more intimate area covered. I glanced at Atana now and her brow was twitching with annoyance from my sudden behavior since I was ignoring her. I gulped and tried to keep my eyes forward, putting all of my attention on Atana, or at least I tried. "Give me a red hand print right across my ass I'm leaving scratches up and down your back" Fig's hand traveled up my knee and my mind played tricks on me as I felt nails lightly scratching up my thigh. "Throw me up against the wall, bite me on my neck" She nipped at my neck playfully and a chill ran down my spine. And then I could have sworn I felt the warmth of breath across my neck as she continued to sing, her lips brushing my skin. I closed my eyes trying to get control of the urges that were building inside me. "Like end of the world break-up sex Oh, cause no does it better No one knows me better" "Um, hello!" Atana piped up. Shit, I completely forgot I snapped my eyes open and she narrowed her eyes at me with a scowl. "Whatever," she shook her head with a huff, "I'm out of here" and there she went getting up from the booth and stomping out of the bar. I looked back to where Fig was next to me, but she was gone. "Check!" I grumbled, raising my hand to get the bartenders attention. And then I dropped my head, hitting the table with a thud. "Aw, cheer up. You'll be home soon." Fig said, reappearing and rubbing my back. I kept my head to the table and just turned so my cheek was now pressed to the top. I was ready to give her my best glare, but my eyes widened coming face to...well chest since Fig was leaning on the table top and her kimono had quite the neckline. "We're not going home so soon." I huffed, turning to the other cheek looking away from her. "But you're getting your check." She said confused. "But you're still doing that." Her hand was still on my leg and unconsciously rubbing up and down my thigh. "And unless you can take care of it then I must wait." I groaned, referring to what I was now hiding under the table thanks to her. I was still looking away, but I heard an 'oh!' as she figured out my meaning, and just like that her hand was gone. I turned back to the other cheek to confirm and stared straight at the booth across from me. Yep, she's gone.
