Greenland pack 1994

12 minutes and a long silent drive later and Thomas Diane Albert and Isaac's lumazine was pulling into the wooded area leading to the pack of the human town. The only airport green land had was the south green land airport in the middle of one of the busiest human towns around. Diane looked out the window to her left as the driver pulled up to a Tall Brick mini-mansion in the middle of the forest. The driver stopping only to check in with two muscular guards dressed similarly in black shirts and black cargo shorts that were ahead of us. The driver informed them "He had thee alphas son and his mate, the betas son ..Oh and Albert.." They pulled out a pocket scanner and verified his badge, then handed it back. Nodding his head giving him the all-clear. The driver continued on the rocky road towards the tall brick mansion. When suddenly the driver made a left and cut down a separate path leading them farther into the woods. They took another turn down a road that seemed to be made out of some sort of white sand but the only thing Diane could see was the three tall mountains aligned together one on top of the other, They almost looked like steps leading up to the sky. Driving up the sandy hill way the car drove up through a Cave allowing cars to drive directly through the mouth of the small mountain down to the taller mountain out to the other side. Zooming out of the cool tube-like cave back into the sunshine they came across more trees and a long sandy white road awaited them ahead. Diane watched the sun peaking in through the empty spaces between the tree branches and leaves of each tall tree they passed by. Peaking out from the tree line Diane began to notice small huts and houses camouflaged into the background just past the trees. The faster they went the more houses they passed on this white sandy road that just seemed to go on forever. The closer the lumazine got to their destination, the more the houses started to get bigger and more exquisite looking. Some had boats hitched to trailers, playgrounds, pools, and tennis courts. They even passed a restaurant and an ice cream shop before finally pulling into the grand gates of the peters ginormous four-story Packhouse.   "Finally!! after that long 30 minutes drive through the twilight zone" Lisbon joked   Diane didn't reply though, she just sat there staring out the window at the incredibly large Peach packhouse. Her new home. Diane stared out the window in amazement she was so lost staring off into space that she hadn't even noticed the car had stopped moving, as the driver put it in the park and everyone else was unloading the car through the opposite door. The Packhouse staff came rushing out to greet us in que. After introductions and a few low snickers from the younger she wolfs on the house's staff. Thomas grabbed Diane's hand leading her up the stairs as Albert and Isaac too headed towards their rooms. The driver and staff attended to our bags bringing them up shortly after Thomas and I got to the top floor. "Like the penthouse view kitten?". Thomas asked with a knowing smirk on his charming face. Upon entering the First bedroom on the left Diane pushed past Thomas still holding the doorknob, as she ran over to the large glass window looking over the mountainside giving a view of the mountains, trees, and a crystal blue lake. She gasped as she watched the scene from the glass window placing her palms on the glass beside her. She looked as if had there been no glass at all she probably just float away if you let her. Standing there in front of that window Diane felt free.. Freer than she ever had. For once in her miserable life, she felt at peace even if just for a moment. She stood there like a statue. In a daze, until Thomas called her name breaking her from her thoughts of freedom. "Diane" he called.   "Huh? oh!" she said turning in his direction.   Realizing why he was looking at her so strange Diane shook her head as if trying to shake her thoughts away. Looking out the window once more she let out a big huff turning away from the mesmerizing window then moved on. Walking over to the large king bed with blue and gold blankets draped all over. The bed had two golden pillows behind a large midnight blue body pillow. Accompanied by a small golden throw pillow. Thomas sat in a black leather computer chair swiping through his emails on his little red phone as Diane explored her new room. She opened up a door she thought led to a bathroom instead it was a large walk-in closet with his and her side. They had one vanity mirror on the left and a large sneaker collection to the right hooked to the wall. Her side was empty as to be expected unlike Thomas's jewelry wall filled with different diamond Rolex's, chains, and earrings the shape of crescent moons in different colors. He had a ton of suits on one side and jeans and T's on the other. At the end was a closed white door. Diane was curious about what was on the other side. Pulling the door open, Diane was greeted with white marble floors leading past a larger white vanity with double sinks. The sinks had a golden faucet that flows water into both sides. On the side was a shiny porcelain toilet beside the biggest walk-in shower shed ever seen. That too was equally shiny. From the thick crystal clear sliding door to the white marble showering bench on both sides. The showerhead hung in the middle with a mini shower hose. It was controlled by a small remote on the outside of the shower. In the end corner, there was a jacuzzi tub with an attached remote control panel on its side. Diane spun around the wide marble bathroom floors swaying around feeling like a perfect princess. She was truly happy. Stopping to admire herself in the tall vanity before retreating to the bedroom. Where her charming mate laid scrolling through his small red cellular phone, back turned to the closet door where Diane stood quietly admiring her handsome mate. Lisbon had been quiet since their earlier dispute in the limo. Leaving Diane's thoughts uninterrupted. She'd gotten so used to her nagging so much that the silence became maddening. It was getting late. Bedtime was coming soon and after that long journey, she definitely needed some rest. She stood there trying to keep her mind off Lisbon and the harsh way she spoke to her. "Lisbon just gets me so mad! but even still I really didn't mean a thing I said ..Well kind of ..She's always Treating me like her "Child" ..Her protégé ..Her pet! and I'm sick of it! I thought we were a team" Diane thought to herself.  "We are a team.."  "Liz! where did you go! you wolf! I couldn't feel you!" Diane cried out.   " Just needed some time . . I had some reflecting to do.". Lisbon responded.   "Reflecting on what!?" Diane asked confused. she couldn't understand why Liz would be so mad".    "Diane I can admit sometimes I can be a lot. And maybe I do mother you sometimes but in a way, you are my child Diane. I carried you in my belly the same way that your mother did. As well as felt your heartbeat. Falling asleep to the rhythm every night . in a way I even birthed you sharing every inch of your mom's heart I love you just the same. so please understand. I didn't have much of a choice you were my pup too. Diane, I told you before It was my mission to be a mother and a wolf to every Franklin witch born to the franklin Line. Diane, You are the other part of my soul ..The pure and the tainted I am what you are at all times ." Lisbon confessed.   Not everyone was in control of their own destiny, some just had to accept the duties given to them. no matter what was left behind. Dreams and even mates due to this franklin curse. It was becoming clearer each day Diane spent with her own mate, falling deeper and deeper into the mate bond that she began to realize just how unfair it was to have no control over who her wolf loved or who she ended up with. She thought of how exhausting it may be to wake up time and time again to a new life with a new love, it was almost like playing a role in a storyline that was not your own, not because you want to but because you have to. To have no control over your own life.. just a prisoner behind someone else's eyes. Forced to play along with someone else's love story when deep down inside you had your own that you cling to in order to keep going every single day. Truth be told. Diane couldn't even truly Imagine a life in Lisbon's shoes. Forced to be selfless for the sake of others. She couldn't even imagine being that selfless in her own life let alone another. With that understanding, Diane became more aware with her eyes wide open. Some would even say she grew a lot wiser that night. Unlocking a deeper connection between the pair. She didn't know it yet but she was becoming more in tune with her wolf's soul than any werewolf has ever been. Unlocking doors to memories her wolf locked away so many years ago. That night Diane cuddled up in her new king bed wrapped up in her loving mate's embrace. Listening to Thomas's steady heart beating through his chest. Letting the rhythm lull her off to a peaceful sleep. She awoke to a soft hum coming from the large walk-in closet. Carefully sliding out of her lover's arms, trying her best not to wake him, she crept over to the closet doors slowly pulling them open hoping not to make a sound. Once opened she crept through the doorway closing the door ever so slightly behind her. Surrounded by darkness her eyes began to adjust and her nocturnal vision kicked in coming in handy. Investigating the strange sound luring her in it was almost as if she was floating towards her brown duffle bag still packed up and left untouched on her side of the shared closet. Unzipping the bag she was greeted with that familiar blue hue emanating off of the golden spear she found hidden in her parent's office. Reaching into the bag with both hands extended she grabbed hold of the heavy weapon pulling it out as it glowed a bright blue in the palm of her hands. Suddenly the room around her began to change as trees sprouted around her growing at an enormously fast rate pushing past the ceiling that dissipated into a dark starry moonlit sky. The ground beneath her feet turned to dewy wet grass. Shocked at the mesmerizing scene be folding in front of her. Diane began to stand to her feet looking around the forest that now surrounded her, amazed. she took a few wary steps forward expecting to hit what she thought would be the bathroom door, but instead, there was nothing but more forest and trees awaiting her.   "What is this place?" Diane asked Lisbon.   "I'm not sure but it comes to me in my dreams sometimes," Lisbon replied.   "Oh. great, then it's a dream" Diane thought. trying to reassure herself.  "No, this is no dream," Lisbon responded.   Diane was confused and a little bit scared honestly. But it helped knowing she wasn't alone. It also helped to have a big magical spear in hand while she walked through the unfamiliar darkness of the mysterious forest setting before her. Though she had never been here before, something deep down inside of her just knew where she needed to be. She kept walking navigating through the trees. It was as if her feet had a mind of their own bringing her deeper and deeper into the unknown. She walked for what seemed like hours before she came across a large waterfall in the middle of the dark forest. Startled by the cries of what sounded to be a young girl, Diane looked around until her eyes landed directly in the middle of the waterfall just below it crouched down in the fetal position on a large flat rock was a figure of what looked to be a young woman curled up sobbing into her knees. She stalked closer to the small figure feeling drawn to her. As if she'd been summoned by a greater cause neither she nor Lisbon could fathom. She walked through the water barefoot feeling each and every stone and twig beneath her feet as she made her way to the large rock in the middle of the water. The girl didn't even seem to notice her standing there. Which was a clear indication she wasn't of the wolf but most likely human. Diane couldn't help but admire her small frame and fiery red hair falling just around the tops of her shoulders. She could tell she was sad but still, it was strange for any human to be way out here at this late hour all alone.   "Should we say something?" Diane asked Lisbon   "Couldn't hurt .."  She could feel her curiosity emanating within her. So Diane took a deep breath and began to speak to the young girl.  "Uh hey! .. You okay," She asked the mysterious young redhead.   The girl looked up wide-eyed and clearly startled not expecting to be discovered way out here she looked around scanning the forest before bringing her attention back to Diane.   "Uhm yea, yes I'm okay" the girl replied.   "So what are you doing way out here all alone? are you lost?" Diane asked.   "No, I just needed a minute." the young girl admitted with a forced smile.  Lisbon started getting restless pacing back and forth in her mind.   *"What's wrong Liz? Diane asked through her mind link"*  "Somethings off! Diane, please be careful there is something about this girl that seems so familiar but I can't put my finger on it."    "Something like what?" Diane asked.  "I don't know, just please be careful Diane! please!" Liz responded. closing the link.  "What's your name?" Diane curiously asked the redhead as she sat down beside her on the flat damp mossy rock.  "I'm Ellie." the redhead replied.   "Ellie? that's a beautiful name.. mine is ..." Frost "." Diane lied quickly attempting to feel the mysterious stranger out.  Ellie flashed her a small smile. nervously twiddling away at her fingers. Diane watched her, now more curious than ever.   "So what is it that has you so glum El?" Diane pried.   Ellie looked up shocked to be called such a name but the smile on her face showed how much she liked it. "Well .." she started.   "Well... if you don't mind me speaking freely..." Ellie started off.   "No no I don't mind at all," Diane reassured her.  "Okay well, frost .. Today is the day I had to bury both my parents. And honestly, it took everything in me not to just jump right in there with the both of them. But I had to remain strong. When I don't even know how to be strong without them. . . How do I go on living a life without them?! how could they just die and leave me here! its... It's just unfair. They should be home worried pacing the floor wondering where I am at this hour but instead they are gone! Laying in some casket leaving me and my siblings to worry about them. Leaving me to pick up the pieces of our broken family. My sister crying in her room blaming herself for their deaths and my brother crying himself asleep. I just had to get out of there, it's just too sad. And I can't fix any of it." Ellie declared pausing to catch her breath.   "It seems we have a lot in common Elz," Diane told her as she reached over cupping her face in her hands, wiping away her tears.   "I lost both my parents at a young age as well. However, I wasn't so lucky to have a sibling let alone two siblings to share that burden with. I dealt with my pain all alone. a shut-in, prisoner to my own grief and fears. But something tells me you are way stronger than you are giving yourself credit for."   "Why me? Why? I didn't even get to say goodbye. I was too stuck in a damn book! It wasn't even a good one!" Ellie screamed in defeat.    "Hush El!, You are blaming yourself for something you had no control over. And trust me I've been there and done that plenty of times. but look at me now. I've met my mate and made some great friends along the way. And now I've met you. A new friend. With a badass haircut! And we already have something in common, even if it is just grief and misery. I am living proof that things can get better. The only way is up from here El." Diane said while reaching out a hand and pulling Ellie to her feet.   The moment the two touched a blue spark ran down Diane's arm and up Ellie's shocking them both, causing the both of them to pull back. Diane saw a vision of her future self happy yet exhausted and sweaty holding a small child in her arms as she hummed a soft tune to lull her newborn baby to sleep as Thomas leaned over kissing both of them on their foreheads. Diane turned to Thomas and said "I think we'll name her Ellie" and Thomas agreed. Snapping out of the weird daydream she turned and looked at Ellie who was already staring back at her with wide eyes. Ellie saw a vision of her own except she saw herself standing on top of a mountain top wielding the very same spear "Frost" was holding in her hands that very moment. And behind her was an army of wolves following behind her. The only thing that was different about her was the long white hair flowing down her back and her eyes a glowing blue with a hint of blood red swirling through her pupils. Standing at the very top of the mountain she turned around raising her spear in the air as fire and ice poured out of the spear lighting the sky above her. Pulling back before she could see any more. Ellie stood there shocked not knowing what it was that just occurred or even where it came from.   "Did you see that too?" Ellie asked in a low voice.   Diane nodded in response. Still stunned. She couldn't even speak before  Ellie got up and sprinted off into the tree line disappearing into the darkness of the forest without so much as a goodbye. Diane stood there a little longer trying to make sense of what had just happened. No matter how hard she tried she just couldn't understand. So she called on Lisbon, hopeful she may know what the hell just went down between her and the small redhead girl.   "Liz!!! what the hell just happened!" Diane asked through the link.  "Liz!! answer me!" Diane called to her again.   "Please stop shouting it's only me and you in here!. but... I'm not so sure Diane. that has never happened before."   "So you saw it too?" Diane asked.   "Yes. but it's impossible .. Isn't it..." Lisbon's voice trailed off.  "What! whats impossible? Liz! what are you not telling me! speak up!" Diane demanded.  "I'm not sure Diane but Cyrus linked me Thomas is waking up soon so you better start heading back!!"    "Where the hell is "Back"! I don't even know how the hell I got out here or even where here is!!" Diane shouted back.  "Just keep walking back from which you came. the spear will do the rest." Lisbon replied ending the link.   Diane started off into the forest backtracking the way she came. Just as Liz instructed. feeling lost and even more confused than when she first came. As she neared deeper into the forest she noticed a random white door glowing with the familiar blue hue. As she got closer she noticed it was that of the closet door she recently entered through. Opening the door she stepped into the dark closet once more. Pausing at the bedroom door she looked down at her hands realizing she was still brandishing the ancient golden spear in her left hand. Turning back she headed over to her brown duffle bag and stuffed it down past her shoes and beneath her clothes hidden from plain sight. Pulled out some fresh PJs and zipping the duffle bag up, she headed to the oversized bathroom on the opposite side of the room. Pulling the door shut as quietly as possible behind her. Turning the shower on warm water sprayed out causing the room to steam up and the large vanity mirror to fog up almost immediately. Diane stood there in a daze trying to piece together the vision she saw earlier that night. Wondering if Ellie possibly saw it too. What could have made her run off like that? and that look in her eyes. So filled with fear and confusion. Diane couldn't help but wonder if she was going to be okay. Pulling off her muddy pajama bottoms as they slid down her legs hitting the floor. She stepped out of them. Pulling her damp t-shirt over her head and tossing it behind her, she stepped into the shower shutting the glass door behind her. Standing under the warm spray letting the water bounce right off of her till the water beneath her feet ran clear, Diane grabbed the shampoo lathering it through her long dark brown tresses and rinsing it through. she grabbed the bar of soap sitting on a ledge to her left and began soaping up a pure white rag hanging over the shower door. After ensuring she was fully clean Diane rinsed off the remainder of the soap sudds clinging to her body. Turning off the showerhead she stepped out and began to dry off. Her mind still clouded with worry. Wishing she just would have chased after Ellie to make sure she at least was okay to make it back home safely.   "What was she even doing out there all alone so deep in the forest at her age. Even if she was of wolf blood she was way too young to have a wolf to protect her." Diane thought.   Pulling on her cozy grey t-shirt and matching Grey shorts with the pink and white striped drawstring dangling off her waist, not even bothering to tie it before retreating back to her shared spacious master bedroom, pulling the door softly shut behind her. Trying her best not to wake Thomas. Walking over to her earlier abandoned spot on the left side of their bed. Pulling back the warm silk covers, sliding into bed like she never left. Diane just laid there staring at the ceiling, her mind clouded with thoughts of the mysterious encounter with the young redhead she met just hours before. No matter how hard she tried she just couldn't let it go. She tried thinking of anything else but still, her mind resorted back to Ellie once more. It was a feeling she just couldn't shake. There was something about that girl that made Diane's mind wander. And the spark they both felt just couldn't have been a coincidence. Laying there in pure silence for hours her mind replaying their conversation over and over. Analyzing that short encounter. And why the spear drew her there in the first place, she didn't even know the spear held such powers, let alone understand why it would bring her to such a place. She just had to know more.                                                          The present                                                              Alarm clock blaring: *EEER EEER EEEER EER*   "Hmph?" .."Oh"  Waking out of a deep sleep a bit disorientated after a long 7 hours of hitting the books to prepare for the next test, Queen rose up off her soft warm Featherbed pulling the sheets from their bunched-up state, spreading her soft pink plush blanket over her twin size featherbed, the very same one she slept in growing up. After making the bed. Made her way down the attic stairs and over to the shared bedroom located on the second floor, just before her parents now abandoned bedroom. The house was quiet, not unusual but things would still take some time to get used to around the house.   *Queens pov*   I had planned on taking over the now spare bedroom on the second floor. But it just didn't feel right touching any of my parent's belongings, it just seemed so wrong to remove anything in that bedroom. Sort of silly I know but I don't know I guess it would only make things feel more real. Secretly deep down I was hoping the longer it remained untouched then maybe they would just sort of appear back to their normal daily routine. Like nothing ever happened. And it all would have just been some weird kind of nightmare that just seemed to want to go on forever. Wishful thinking I know.    Brushing my teeth and fixing my hair in a neat ponytail I continued to get ready for my Shift today followed by another boring 8hour lecture from Mr. Pitts the licensed overpaid male nurse who volunteered his time at night over at the Greenland medical school I attend for night classes every other day being that I'm now a full-time mom to my two younger siblings. Which meant I needed a few off days to keep up with them. But right now we just couldn't possibly afford that now with everything else going on. I'm so close to my dream I can almost feel it, when I'm in that operating room I just feel so amazing like everything is just so right, like I'm where I need to be in life. And there is this energy coursing through my veins each time I work on a patient when doctor sleaze (BoB) forgets what to do or even the simple fact that's he's a Fu**ing doctor! but he's never forgotten to stare at my boobs or squeeze my ass. Ugh, sometimes I really hate that prick, One day ill have his job and he can just sit in one of those human retirement homes or something so he doesn't accidentally hurt himself. I'm moving slow, I need to hurry up before I'm late for class.  Rushing down the stairs and out the door she was gone off to start a new day.
