“The middle school is set to open for seventh and eighth graders in January.” Rochelle sat at the conference room table between Todd and me, delivering her report to the council so smoothly I couldn’t believe she had missed a month of meetings. “The building is ready, we have teachers hired, and there are sixty students registered in total. Going forward, we’ll add a ninth grade in August and a tenth grade the following August until we have a fully functioning high school.”
I jotted down the details, adding Rochelle’s report to my notes from the information Trevor and Neil had already provided.
“Excellent.” Alexander wrote something in his binder and looked up. “Does anyone have questions or problems we need to address on education?”
