CHAPTER 4 ATTACKING THE ATTACKER

1771 Words
MUNA’s POV I was running too fast, to my surprise, and I didn’t believe that I would be able to be that fierce and strong, fear and disbelief mixed together. At first, I thought it was a dream, but right now, with blood trickling down from my wolf's head, I know it was reality. “We must not let her get away. I will go this way. You try to jump at her from the other direction,” Sofia's whispering voice reached my ear. Forcing me to remember how she had lied about discussing some things about us getting together and being at peace with me a few minutes ago, thereby luring me out into this thick bush just outside Alpha Fordolf's mansion. “Mia, what’s happening? You have never come out to me before, let alone come out to run this fast,” I paused from running to hide in a cave, asking my wolf what was happening, although to my dismay I wasn’t tired or weak like I thought I would be because I could also hear my sister whispering from far away. “I had to come out even though it’s not time yet, your life is in danger. Muna, they want you dead! But don’t fret! I’m very powerful with special powers to help you,” my wolf reassured me. I smiled at myself, at the same time trying to control my heavy breathing, touching my chest to do that, the blood trickling from my wolf's head decreasing as I had used some part of my cloth to tie my wolf's head. “Does it hurt? Your sister stabbed you there!,” it wasn’t a question, but a statement filled with rage and revenge. I nodded in agreement at my wolf's worried questions. Pushing my wolf hand out to assess my hairy hand, seeing my wolf for the first time is so beautiful and uplifting to my soul, she’s so beautiful, white and decorated with white color on the tail and paws, stomach and chest as well. “We will talk about why you haven’t come to me all these years, but let’s survive this night first. I don’t know why Talia is here, but she's with a gun and there’s silver in the gun. But I don’t want to die!,” I cried out to my wolf, but this time in my head. “It’s simple, muna, you are special, and your sister knows this even though she doesn’t know how and why. I also see that you are in love,” my wolf was beginning to tease me. I choked on my soft scream and blushed hard, sneaking out of the cave I was hiding in to crawl quickly out of the place I hid, Sofia and her voice reaching my eardrums again, my wolf instinct surprising me every second. I can hear from a very far distance, and I’m very fast whenever I turn into my wolf form. “I can’t wait to tell Fredolf that you’ve finally appeared. He has been a very good source of hope for me, unlike Boris, who had always used his absence to insult me. And yes, I like Alpha Fredolf too, because he treats me like a real person, but I’m still trying to be careful about allowing my heart to soften for another man,” I explained to my very attentive wolf. For some reason, she is able to calm me down even though we are both being hunted by two murderous people with scary tools that could take my life away. Suddenly, someone pulled my hair from behind and jerked me to a sitting position, forcing me onto the muddy floor. I hit my left ankle in the process and yelled out in pain, changing into my human form at once. I didn’t know why I changed, maybe the abrupt and piercing pain or something in Talia's hand. She grinned at me and jabbed my naked stomach with the curious little tool. “You think because you can change now into a big and mighty wolf, you are better than I? I will kill you today, and you can’t escape it. This is what I used, my reliable magnet.” she stretched a round blue ball, around the size of her smallest finger in my face. “Are you using charm and diabolical means now?,” I asked her," Surprised, in my thick voice. “Well, because you don’t know, I know why your wolf refused to surface all these years and Sofia knows too. We have been using this magnet to tie it down for some time now, until we saw her today. Being away from the pack is perfect for you, but we are here to end it all,” she informed me, her eyes circling me. “My wolf didn’t leave me because of your blue magnet or whatever, she was only waiting for the right time,” I shot back at them, my voice quivering, but I gathered a little strength and staggered up from the floor. “Why are you still telling stories with this lunatic? Shoot her in the head and end her life at once,” my sister was yelling right from a distance, running toward us with the same knife she used to stab my face a few minutes ago in her hand. “She will die, look at her useless naked form, so this is what you use in seducing our men?,” Talia made fun of me, since my wolf had disappeared, I was left with no. clothes on, my body stark naked in the cold clothes. I tried covering my burst with my two hands, but it didn't make much difference. “I don’t know what’s happening!. And I haven’t set my eyes on my mate since I was taken from the pack! Please don’t kill me,” I pleaded, moving slowly with my butt on the ground, trying to drag myself away from the gun pointed at me. Sofia got to us and stood behind me, hitting me on my back. I wanted to scream out in pain but the way she pointed her knife and bared her teeth in my face forced the scream back. The night was cold, but I found myself sweating so much with fear in my heart. “But, Sofia, what did I do to warrant all this? What else is my offense? You want me dead! I’m your only sister!,” bitterness engulfed my soul as I asked my sister the one question that had been dancing on my mind since they started chasing me. “Ohoo cut the crap!!, you are a gold-, a b***h!! And you know it, you want all the rich and wealthy men for yourself, you love to pretend that you don’t know Alpha Boris visited Alpha Fredolf to fight with you?,” Sofia asked, sneering into my face. “You are the one having a family discussion with this little wench. Let’s cut her head off and kick her out of our lives at once. She can not tell me that she doesn’t know. She’s always with Alpha Fredolf now, since she’s his favorite, he wouldn’t even let any of his w****s around him anymore, and I heard he takes her when he travels out of the country for business,” Talia complained. Aiming the gun at my head, I shivered and tried to move my head away, but my sister was behind me? Pushing me back toward Talia's gun. “I swear, he didn’t tell me anything about what happened, he wouldn’t tell me about Alpha Boris. He thinks I’m still in love with him, I swear to you, I don’t know about the fight, I don't want Boris,” I told them matter-of-factly, but they weren’t listening. “Shut up? You slut, what about Alpha Fridolf? I stayed in this pack, so I can have him, and you stole him from me!,” Sofia yelled at me. I rolled my eyes at both of them, tired of explaining myself, my anger beginning to appear in my eyes. I have been a peaceful sister even after Sofia helped Talia to steal my man. I didn't fight with her, so what else do they want from me? “This is absurd! I have had enough of all that. If you want to kill me so as to be happy and fulfilled, then do so and let me be, just leave me alone…,” I was still talking when the sharp and blunt pain from my stomach and shoulder blade to my inner brain stopped me at once. I saw the blood gushing out from my stomach first before my eyes dropped on the knife dripping with my blood in my sister's hand, my eyes filled with painful tears and shame on behalf of my sister. She had finally come true to her word and the king's threat of killing me. “Die! Just die and let me be! I don’t want a sister!! Let me breathe, I hate you so much,” before my eyes started to twitch and close, my body shivering with in-depth pain, I heard my sisters’ vicious voice and saw Talia’s confused face. “Sofia! What have you done? You said we would only threaten her, not kill her!” Talia shouted at my sister, dropping her knife to push her roughly. The two of them locked up in a fight. “She’s my sister and I dictate when she lives or dies. I could kill you as well if you didn’t shut the hell up now. Your husband is running after her and yet you want her to live? You better go back to your pack to be with him,” she spat the fuming talia. From nowhere, I felt all the pain and tiredness evaporate, a wolf emerging at once, the snapping of my bones, causing the two of them to stare at me, mouth ajar. I saw the disbelief in their eyes before I bounced on talia. She's the closest to me. It happened too quickly, and I didn’t even plan it. My wolf was angry and wanted blood. I tried stopping her but she wouldn’t listen. All I can hear is Sofia's loud scream as she runs away and Talia’s skin in my wolf fang, her blood in my wolf throat, “I will kill you,” I growled at her dieing form. She was pleading t His time, but my wolf's ear is deaf, and we are beyond enraged. We want blood!
