MODESTY'S REVENGE WAS an interesting ship. Even with a fresh (orange and blue) paint job, new components (designed to hide the vessel's numerous weapons), and an unassuming transponder code, the ship seemed to Mad like a predator lying in wait for its next meal. When she'd heard a gunship had managed to disable two Sovereignty Battlecruisers, Mad had been skeptical. Now, running her fingers over the cool, angular hull, she was a believer. The Freedom's hangar bay was full of small fighter craft, troop transports, and cargo freighters. Modesty's Revenge stuck out, not only because of its flashy paint in a hangar full of maroon decals and dull gray hull plating.
