Ravyn's POV:
The next few days passed the same. I am stuck in this tiny room with nothing to do but wait for my meals to be delivered by the young girl. She is always wearing the same outfit and hardly every speaks.
One day, I got the courage to run after the girl while she was leaving my room. I scared the young girl. She jumped back, but I was unable to walk through the door frame. It was as if an invisible force field was stopping me from leaving. The creepy man from before has not come by again. My only visitor is this same young girl.
I hear the familiar clank of the door. She must be entering to give me my breakfast. I have been keeping track of the time through the sun. Right now, the sun is slightly past the horizon in the east, and so I know that its breakfast time. The girl walks in with her tray like always, the same brown mush and bread. I stand and sit down at the table. She places it in front of me but does not go to leave. She stands back and meekly looks at me.
"Master said that you will be moved to a different room. He said that after you eat, you will follow me." She says in a nervous tone. She looks around, not wanting to meet my eyes.
I stare at her dumbfounded. "Where will I be taken?" I ask. The girl just shakes her head and states "I am not to say. Master just says after you eat, I need to show you to your new room."
I look down at my tray, at the unappetizing food. There is a small vial next to the plate. That is new. I pick it up and examine it. It has a dark, shimmery liquid in it. I looked quizzically at the young girl, "And this is?" I said.
"You are to drink that before we leave. Master was very specific about that. You must drink it if you wish to leave." She stated this like she was reciting something very precise. I pick up my fork and take a few mouthfuls of the mush. It doesn't have much of a taste, but I don't want to go hungry. I finish the plate and drink the water provided. I haven't died yet, so this must mean that they don't want to kill me... yet!
"Okay, I ate. Is this poison?" I said, holding up the vial. She looks at the vial and shakes her head. I trust her a little, but something doesn't feel right. Ignoring the warning bells in my head, I unscrew the top of the vial, held it to my lips, and tipped my head back. I let the strange liquid flow into my mouth and down my throat. It has a bitter taste and I wish that I hadn't drunk all my water.
I felt strange. I had a slightly fuzzy feeling all over my body and I felt like I was not in charge of my body. I stumble to the bed and held onto the bedside table. "Come, we must go now. You will not return to this room." This made me alert. I needed to grab the pendant, but I needed her not to see me pick it up. I moved my hand slightly down, grabbed onto the knob of the drawer and positioned my body, so she couldn't see what I was doing. I was able to open the drawer, just enough to reach my hand in.
"P-Please don't delay, Master will be very upset. We NEED to go! Now!" Her tone was pleading and was loud enough to mask the noise of me pulling the pendant out. I clasped it tightly in my hand, using my whole hand to cover the pendant.
I turned around and followed the girl out of the room. The invisible force field did not stop me this time, and I walked through without any issues. Once outside the door, we are in a long hallway. The only other door, besides mine, is one all the way at the other end of the hallway.
The girl grabs my arm and leads me towards the door. Her grip isn't firm, it's actually very gentle. It's like she is just lending me her strength as I sway down the hallway. I lean into her, everything in my vision has a fuzzy outlining, and I am having a hard time concentrating. I am grateful for her support. Her slight frame is supportive enough to not let me fall over.
We made it to the end of the hallway, and she pressed a button next to the door. It lit up. I didn't notice the button before, it's to call an elevator. The door, shortly after, slides open and reveals a small elevator with light-colored walls. She guides me into the elevator, presses a button, and the door slides shut. We started to move. It feels like we are going down. I don't have enough time to wonder where she is bringing me because the elevator stops, and the doors slide open. My eyes need time to adjust to the added light. I squint my eyes and try to shield myself with my hand. This hallway is completely different from the one that I just walked through. That one was poorly lit, gray walls, and no windows. This hallway has a plush carpet with crisp, white walls. There are numerous windows letting in the bright morning sunlight. There are many rooms here. There appears to be security scattered throughout the hallway, placed strategically throughout the hallway. No escaping, even if I tried.
We turn a corner suddenly, and I stumble. I grab onto the first thing my hand comes in contact with. It's solid and firm, and I quickly discover it's a person. I am pulled away by the girl as my vision clears. The person I grabbed onto was a tall man with jet black hair. He's handsome and vaguely familiar. He looks back at me with...it can't be? His eyes look orange! How strange!
The young girl is still pulling me down the hall when we stop in front of a door and she opens it, ushering us quickly inside. She leads me over to a nice chair and sits me down. She starts pacing and seems frantic. "Do you know what you just did? Do you know who you just bumped into? Of course not. You don't even know who you are! We are lucky to be alive, you know. The dark prince doesn't take pity often, and you bumped right into him. You bumped into the son of the Master! Oh no! Master won't like this, not at all. If Prince Blaine informs him of my mess up, I could lose my privileges! Oh no! I can't go back to the dungeons. I just got out of there!" She is frantically pacing around the room and rambling on. I chuckle to myself, which causes her to stop and turn to look at me, "What is so funny?" She says.
"This is the most you have spoken, and you are worried about losing privileges. Here I am, being held against my will, and you are acting like I just killed you." I say and I laugh. I shouldn't be laughing, but everything is fuzzy, which is making everything seem funny. "You also said I don't even know who I am, but HA jokes on you! My name is Ravyn!" I sway slightly in my chair as I point my finger at her. "See, I know who I am. I might not know anything else, but at least I have got a name. Unlike you!" I lean back in the chair because the room begins to spin
"M-My name is Melody. I-I must go. Goodbye!" She says and briskly walks from the room closing the door behind her. Well, at least I was able to get something out of her, I think to myself. I try to see if my feet will allow me to move but they fall out from underneath me just as I stand up. I fling out my arms to try and hold onto the circular table that sits in the middle of the room. I am unsuccessful in grabbing onto the table but successful in knocking over the vase of flowers onto the floor. I hit the ground with a thud.
Just then, the door to my room flies open and in comes the beautiful dark-hair man from the hallway. He looks at me and rushes over, concern written all over his face. He kneels down and picks me up. He cradles me, bridal-style, in his arms. He walks over to a bed that I did not realize was in the room and lays me on top of it. He gently rests my head on a nice, fluffy pillow.
"You have to be more careful my dear! Henbane is strong! You must lie down until the effects leave your body." His voice is smooth by holds power. I am staring into his beautiful, bright orange eyes as sleep overtakes me.
Blaines POV:
Who the hell gave this girl henbane? This is outrageous. It is illegal to use this against a witch in all nations. Dampening a witch's powers can cause them to have a euphoric feeling, causing a witch to become unstable. I recognized the signs right way when she stumbled and fell into me in the hallway. I am glad that I was close when she fell. I was already heading to the door when I heard the shatter of glass and a loud thud.
I am in my own thoughts, running through the dream with the blue-eyed girl. I must have dream-walked in my sleep without realizing it. But how? Are my powers growing? All I know is that this blue-eyed girl must be powerful! That protective barrier that she produced in the dream is something that I have never seen. It dealt with my fireball like it was nothing. It disintegrated it into nothing! My powers are the most powerful out of all the fire starters in the land. Rightfully so, I am the son of the King!
I straightened my stance and looked down at the girl. She is sleeping peacefully and looks so fragile just lying there. I want to dream-walk into her dreams again, and I am tempted to try, but the henbane will affect my ability to get into her mind. I could hurt her if I tried. I moved a strand of hair out of her face. Her skin is soft and feels like silk under my touch. My finger sweeps down to her mouth, and I touch her lips. Oh, how I would love to kiss her lips! To feel her passion against my lips! I pull my hand back, reluctantly. I must leave! I grab the throw blanket at the end of the bed and pull it over her body. I turn into the bathroom and grab the glass next to the sink and fill it with water. When she wakes, she will be thirsty, so I place the glass next to her bed. I turn and leave the room.
I exit the bedroom and take a couple of deep breaths. Why am I so affected by this girl? I can have any girl I want and have! But none have taken me like this. Yes, of course, I find them sexually attractive but never cared for them past their looks. The girls in my past were just great distractions, nothing that I cared about. But this girl, I am attracted to her, but it goes beyond that. I want to protect her with every fiber of my being. I don't understand it!
I frustratingly walked away from the door and my phone vibrated. I pulled it out, it was a text from my father. He wants to know where I am. I am late for a meeting with the council. I sent a quick text back stating that I was headed his way, and I set off toward the boardroom.
A few hours passed, and we were finally done with the meeting. The council wanted to talk about Agatha's people moving closer and closer to our boarders. My father said at length that he had the key to destroying Agatha but needed one more ingredient to finish the spell. He talked about a pendant that was needed. This pendant is supposed to be able to unlock immense power. He plans to use this power to recite a spell that will make Agatha and her people powerless. Leaving them no better than a human. This will allow them to be picked off easily. After 18 years, without my mother, we will finally have our revenge. I am hopeful as I leave the board meeting.
I headed for my room so I could shower. I passed by Bianca, a servant girl that helps clean the rooms, on my way to my room. She is pretty for a servant and is always fun to play with. She smirks at me, and I know that she wants to play. I leaned down over her cart and looked into her eyes, "Want to play?" I said with a smirk. Her eyes lit up, and we briskly walked into my room. She quickly undoes her dress and jumps on the bed. I cannot help but compare her appearance to the blue-eyed girl upstairs. Bianca has dulled brown hair that lies lifeless on her shoulders. She has a dull skin color, she must not go outside often, and her eyes are a shitty brown color. The only thing that is attractive about her is her breasts. They are perky and enough to fill my needs. She will do. She pulls me over to the bed by my belt loops and starts undoing my pants. She licks her lips when she slides my pants and boxers down my legs and releases my beast! She takes me in her mouth and my eyes roll into the back of my head as I enjoy the pleasurable ride.
