Heartbeat!

Nevertheless, his response was a contentious sentence.  "Shut up! You were not there. You neither have the right to throw a comment on my situation nor my actions." "That means I am right. Aren't I?" replied Zohaifa with a smirk doubling up the annoyance. Unable to contain himself anymore, Flirtic punched Zohaifa throwing him towards the door of the cell. But Zohaifa’s body passed through the beams. Surprisingly, it seems that that door was just a hologram! Zohaifa stood up with swollen cheek as he stared at those beasts, expecting an answer to this nonsense. A moment of silence continued. "We didn't have enough budget," answered one of them awkwardly breaking the silence. “You guys couldn’t use normal bars? And you have the budget for this big of a spaceship and still don’t have the budget for a bar?” asked Zohaifa. “Well, for your first question, we also take warriors strong enough to break through metal bars. Using these laser lights makes them nervous as it did to you two. And for the second, we use almost the entire budget for gas and external weapons leaving us too little for internal weapons,” one of them answered. “And how do you deal with situations like these?” asked Zohaifa. “We are strong enough!” answered one with a smirk while smashing down a punch which Zohaifa evaded with a jump and bounced back from the wall for a kick. Now, Zohaifa and Flirtic felt nothing but the appetite for freedom. They started their climactic breakout operation with no organized plan other than freestyle running. Zohaifa dashed, trying to dodge every aggression that would come in his course. A hook from the left. Zohaifa dodged it. A body hook from the right. It hit Zohaifa. But Zohiafa concealed pain and moved on with no intention of returning the shot. A beast stood in front of him. Zohaifa jumped and bounced off of his head. Will I survive? Will I make it? These questions were pushing Zohaifa forward. He found himself near the exit. "Finally! I am free," he looked around to find a parachute but accidentally took a small glimpse at Flirtic who was being caught by the beasts. The parachute was lying just beside the exit and on the other hand, Flirtic was all the way there inside the spaceship fighting the beasts. Which one should he favor: the parachute which would guarantee him freedom or the person he was punched by inside the prison? Of course, freedom seemed to be the best answer. But for some reason he found himself hastening toward Flirtic. He battered every monster in the way without the intention of defeating any. He only attacked to move them out of the way so he could accompany Flirtic. The enemies Flirtic was facing were too focused on him, which enabled Zohaifa to attack them with full power and accuracy. "I didn't ask for help," shouted Flirtic ungratefully. "I was just fulfilling my grudge against these monsters," answered Zohaifa.  "Forget it. Where do you think is the exit?" asked Flirtic. "I've left it far away. Come to the control room. I will raise their heartbeat," answered Zohaifa. Flirtic follow him to the control room, curious of what Zohaifa meant. Flirtic aided Zohaifa trying to fight all the beasts who tried to charge at him. With his aid, it felt easier for Zohaifa to run to the control room than the escape he attended earlier. He reached the control room, intrigued to see what Zohaifa would do to raise the heartbeat. All he did was slam the controls, malfunctioning the ship. Now, not only Zohaifa but also all the beasts want to escape the ship. Their heartbeat was raised after all. They left them no parachutes. But Zohaifa seemed calm. "What now Zohiafa?" asked Flirtic. "We jump," answered Zohaifa. "From this height?" asked Flirtic. "No. We will jump when the ship moves closer to that mountain," said Zohaifa with his eyes fixated on a mountain. Bidding goodbye inside their mind, they made a jump at a suitable time. Zohaifa after descending onto the mountain started running downhill. How appealing it was! He didn't know where to go, what to do next. But running in the mountains was definitely better than sitting in prison. The joy that Zohaifa felt caused him to forget all his injuries. But Alas! No joy lasts forever. Suddenly an explosive noise pierced through the air, after which Zohaifa left his consciousness. A young man rushed towards him and pushed his ear into his chest. "Oh no! I shot at the wrong target. His Heartbeat is gone!" he exclaimed. It went dark for Zohaifa. But he saw a light at a distance. It was the same dream. And for some reason, Zohaifa followed the same sequence. He woke up! "Again? I swear it's just one thing after the other," said Zohaifa to himself. Then he slowly observed the environment. He was in a tent. Sunlight outside only proved how dark the inside was. He also took notice of his condition. All the blood from his body has been cleaned. "What am I doing here?" asked Zohaifa to himself in confusion, "How did I get here?" He knew he had to get up and explore for safety. But after all that he had been through, he naturally felt lazy. Suddenly he heard someone coming this way. "Should I hide or should I pretend to sleep? Nah, I will just stay put," Zohaifa mumbled to himself. Then, a young, handsome man came inside the tent with a little girl in red clothing. "Hello there. How are you feeling? Did you just wake up?" asked the young man while the girl hid behind his legs. "Yes. What happened?" asked Zohaifa showing no interest whatsoever. "You mean you don't remember?" he asked with a little shock. "All I remembered is running downhill and suddenly hearing an explosive sound along with a sudden pain in my chest," said Zohaifa. "Nothing after that?" "No." "Does this ring any bell?" said the young man and opened up his shirt to show him a huge scar on his muscular chest. "No," said Zohaifa. The young man stared at Zohaifa in confusion for a few moments, but then he continued with a smile, "Forget it. My name is Lapis and this girl right here is Marium, my niece. What is your name?" "I am Zohaifa and I don't know what is going to happen with my life," he replied blankly. "Come on. At least smile at us. You look like you have no soul inside," said Lapis.
