Flirtic's story: Part-1: Carnivorous Revolution

“So, now that I told you my story, isn’t it your turn?” asked Zohaifa. “Fine,” he replied, “My name is Flirtic. It does not suit me, but I used to be an animal lover. I had a pet deern, though I am not sure if I should call her a pet. She was more like a friend.” “What’s that?” asked Zohaifa. “An animal,” he replied, “And keep your questions to yourself. I don’t enjoy getting interrupted.” “Okay,” Zohaifa replied with a pout. “The deern lived in a forest but came to visit me often. We were best friends. We used to play together and enjoy our life. She even gave birth to little deernos! It was a memorable day for me when it happened. But the following week, a hunter captured the mother right before my eyes. I tried my best to stop him, but I failed. He mercilessly dragged the deern without bothering himself about her children. The fact that he was just doing his job was enough of an excuse for him. All I could do was cry along with the baby deernos. I couldn’t see their tears, but I knew they were crying too. Just because they can’t drop tears doesn’t mean they don’t feel sad! Just because they always have a smiley face doesn’t mean they don’t feel pain! I couldn’t endure this any longer. I needed to know more about these hunters to stop the sufferings of anymore animal. For the first time, I studied the systems of my planet which was unexpected for a kid like me. But I realized that the people of the entire planet kill animals for diverse purposes. Furthermore, a new purpose was adding. The people of our planet were herbivorous. But as the scientists researched, it showed that we can also digest a carnivorous diet. Many opposed this idea but not for mercy to animals, for saving them for other research areas. It would be a waste if we decreased their population by eating them up. Then there won’t be many animals left for research. Thus, the carnivorous revolution was taking place. It was impossible to change the entire planet on my own. So I decided to take my father’s advice. That was the night when my father brought a dearn. Not to care, not to nurture, but to eat. I realized he was a part of the carnivorous revolution as well. I was filled with anger and agony. There is no one left in the world for me to trust. Not even my family. That night I was the only one who ate a vegetarian diet. But I couldn’t stop there. Being silent against a crime is accepting the crime. My resolve became stronger. Though I did not have any plan in my mind at the moment, I had motivation. I decided I will always keep training and studying so that when I formulate a plan, I would have all the resources I need: both physical and mental. In the meantime, I acted like a friendly, non-carnivorous person. As I grew up, I made many friends. Two of them were unique. The people of our planet have little interest in any martial activities. But my friend Amaruka was very passionate about it. He had wind powers. It was hard to believe that someone like him became my friend. From a tournament on our planet, he got the title ‘Gentle Calamity’ because of his monstrous power masked with gentle behavior. Gradually, everyone accepted him as the strongest, while I was the second strongest.” “Wait, if you were the second strongest, and I defeated you, does that mean I would be the strongest on your entire planet?” asked Zohaifa. Flirtic answered with a bit of frustration, “Firstly, that match never concluded. You did not beat me. Secondly, even if you are stronger than me, you still have a million years to reach Amaruka’s level.  I never stood a chance against Amaruka. Our sparring match was always a game for him. You will learn as I tell you the rest of the story.” “Okay, go on.” Flirtic continued, “Another of my friend, Sirius, is a serious guy in astronomy. These two friends gave me the perfect plan. I considered all the other friends useless. I learned at higher studies that we lived on a super minor planet of the Cant world. It is a weird astronomical structure not found in any other place in the universe. The Cant world comprised one gigantic sun, which is also considered the biggest star of the universe, and 50 planets orbiting it in the same radius from the sun. The diameter of each planet is 1.39 million km (the same as earth’s sun). Orbiting each planet are minor planets, each having a diameter of 143000 km (almost the same as Jupiter). There are some super minor planets, moving around the minor planets, of 12000km diameter (almost the same as earth.) Unfortunately, we don’t know how such a structure formed even though it’s gravitationally impossible. Another piece of information I had is that the people of our planet are very much interested and developed into astronomy. That is why we keep visiting other planets and also do the aliens visit us. With the two friends and the two pieces of information, I built up the ultimate plan. When all my plans were put into place, I gathered Sirius and Amaruka. First, I needed to confirm a few things. “Amaruka, is it true that you once used your wind power to lift a continent?” I asked with all seriousness. “Yes, it was a simple task I did in my childhood.” answered chilled Amaruka. But Sirius was serious about this. He asked, “Why are you asking such a question?” But ignoring his question, I asked again, “Sirius, is it true that you won the astronomy Olympics in the consecutive four years which took place internationally? And also that you were invited by the space agency to work with them as soon as you are done with school?” With brief hesitation, Sirius answered, “Yeah. But why?” I finally answered, “I want to move the planet.” Hearing my strange answer, both of them were naturally shocked. “If Sirius can pinpoint a proper location and Amaruka can use his wind power, then it might be possible to move the planet,” I continued. “Will the two of you help me for the sake of our friendship?” Sirius was confused but dumb Amaruka answered without delay, “Why not? But I need time to train myself. I was practicing a move I named the ‘tornado mammoth.’ Once I master it, the task will be very plausible. It might take a month or so.” “Are you sure about that?” interrupted Sirius, “For moving a continent, all you needed to do was push the wind below the continent and pull all the wind from above the continent. You can’t lift a planet with that move in your childhood no matter how much you increase its intensity.” “Don’t worry. Let me do my work while you concentrate on yours. I have a surprise waiting for you guys,” said Amaruka.
