Training with Lazuli begins!

"This is yellow splash, a plasma-type move I invented. Flashy huh?" asked Lazuli proudly.
"I don't know about flashy but it does seem splashy," said Marium.
Ignoring Marium’s joke, Zohaifa complained "But I don't think I can learn any move that is not originated from Lightning."
"We won't know until we try. But Marium will surely be able to do it. Don't worry. I made a backup plan for you as it was a logical approach to do so," answered Lazuli.
"Wait. I thought Marium's element was light," objected Zohaifa
"Let me explain how elemental powers work. Every Cant can't use all the elements equally. One always has a single element as his core element. But he or she will also be able to wield the power of the other elements if he or she trains themselves to do so. But none can ever learn any element so much that it surpasses his core element. But you are not a Cant. We don't know why you have lightning power. That is why I am not sure whether this training plan would work for you. Speaking of which, what are you really?"
"I am a human. I came from Planet Earth," Zohaifa answered.
"Planet Earth huh?" she said, “I can’t say for sure if anyone outside Cant World controls aura.”
"But then why are we even trying to increase my might-not-even-exist power? Won't it be best if you just train my Lightning power so I can do what I do better?" Zohaifa asked.
"Valid point. But you see, no one can surpass themselves in an element other than his core one. Thus, if you try to increase your capacity to perform other elements, then your core element will also be strengthened automatically to maintain that law," she explained.
"Acceptable idea. But it still doesn't answer my question. We still don’t know if I actually use aura."
"To approach it simply, it is a risk I am willing to take. Because firstly, this 'Yellow Splash' is a powerful move. Secondly, it is a complex move. Where else would you see liquid plasma or any two states of matter at once? So it will give you two a thorough control over aura. Thirdly, you master your aura better. We Cant people control our elements through manipulating aura. You might control lightning differently though since you are not Cant. Lastly, plasma is a special element out of the 16. It is the easiest element to master other than your core element."
“Are you sure we should do it this way? We don’t even have a guarantee that I use aura to begin with,” asked Zohaifa.
“As I told you, it's not that big of a risk. I am pretty sure I can predict the tournament’s storyline. I will just defeat one by one and win. So, it doesn’t matter if I don’t train you well enough. I am just taking advantage of the situation and training Marium better with this tournament. So, this training is primarily designed for Marium. You should be grateful you are getting free training. Plus, your part isn’t as big of a gamble as you think. You probably already control aura. I can’t think of any other possible reason for a being to control lightning without tech or biological perks. But as you told Lapis, your species don’t control lightning. So, you probably use aura already. All I need to do is make you realize its existence," said Lazuli.
"So, what is this aura exactly?" asked Zohaifa.
"You can say it is what connects us and physics. It can simply be described as our cheat code to break the laws of the universe. By controlling aura we can do the seemingly impossible. For example, how you create lighting and how I create plasma."
"This doesn't make sense. If Aura can defy physics, we could just summon a planet by breaking the law of conservation of mass and throw it to our opponent, and boom, they are gone. We win the tournament."
"It is theoretically not impossible to summon a planet using aura. But we are not gods you see. We don't have such control over aura nor do we possess an infinite amount of aura. If you have sufficient aura and if you have enough control over them, then certainly, you can summon a planet."
"Wait, I also need a specific amount of Aura?"
"Yes. Just like you are born with a certain amount of strength that grows over time, you also have a certain amount of aura which grows over time. But unlike strength, it does not have a limit to its growth and if you connect your strength to your aura, you can make its growth unlimited too. And just like with strength, when you train your aura, its amount increases," she said.
"That is incredible," Zohaifa replied. In a moment, another shade of seriousness was added to his face.“I have one last question.”
Lazuli could notice the seriousness in his eyes. “Ask away.”
“Does using lightning for a non-Cant like me have a side effect?” he asked.
“I don’t know. I don’t have any experience with non-Cant elemental users.”
“I feel something anomalous in my heart when I control lightning. I wonder if that indicates a side effect.”
“You don’t want to train then?”
“I do. I am just….scared.”
“You can take whatever decision you want. I don’t mind. Won’t make much of a differe-”
“I will train!” interrupted Zohaifa. He couldn’t endure being demeaned anymore.
Thus, Lazuli finally gave them their instruction.
Marium’s job was to try creating plasma. Lazuli showed the creation of Plasma a few times by herself to Marium but it was very confusing of a task as she never used her aura to make plasma. On top of that, Lazuli couldn't even describe how to use the aura to create plasma. It is not a particular movement that one can just describe. One has to feel it for himself. So she was just left guessing.
On the other hand, Zohaifa was instructed to create lightning as slowly as possible, so he could observe and feel it by himself: How is it he creates lightning? But out of misfortune, Zohaifa had to have lightning of all elements. If it were water or air, he could've just observed how he controlled it by manipulating it slowly. But Lightning is extremely fast by nature. Thus it became an incredibly hard task.
