Amelia's POV...
The heat continued to burn inside me, but the moment he walked through the door and I inhaled his scent, the heat reduced.
"Mark me and make me yours," I said as I looked into his eyes, hoping... just hoping to see a positive reaction.
"Mark you?" He asked, looking at my neck.
"Hmm," I whimpered.
"Amelia, I..."
"Please," I muttered and touched his hands, and placed them on my stomach.
The pain disappeared immediately.
I sat up slowly and faced him. "I'm your mate. But not your Luna yet. The Pack doesn't recognise me as their Luna. But you can claim me now," I bared my neck, tilting it to one side. "Mark me,"
He didn't move, rather, he sat there looking at me. It seemed like he was confused whether to mark me or not.
I opened my mouth to say something, immediately, he covered my mouth with his in a hot fiery kiss.
I responded immediately and my hands flew to his hair as I ruffled it.
I didn't know when we fell back on the bed. I moaned when he bit my lips.
My hands moved away from his hair and I wanted to unbutton his shirt, but his hand stopped me.
"I'm not finished yet," he said as he pulled away from the kiss.
He leaned back down and kissed my neck. I moaned loudly and my body jerked.
I breathed in relief when I felt Nyx. It seemed like she had been revived and I felt her energise me.
Colton moved from my neck back to my lips and plastered soft kisses on my lips.
His hands moved to my dress. There was no zipper so it wouldn't be too difficult for him.
Tear.
I opened my eyes in surprise. He had ripped my dress.
I couldn't care less. All that mattered was that he was here with me.
He stood up and ever so slowly, took off his clothes.
He approached me with a smile as he leaned over me.
"I'm going to make you mine," he growled. His eyes had already changed colour.
"I'm ready," I said in determination and cupped his cheeks as I pulled him down.
******************
I was still in bed the next morning. Actually, it was already past morning, nearly midday.
My hand was on my neck where Colton had kissed me last night.
We mated, but he didn't mark me and for some reason, I felt bad about it.
It meant that the heat would come back again and the Pack wouldn't acknowledge me.
The fact that hurt me the most was that somewhere in my mind... I felt that he didn't mark me because he wasn't proud of me or maybe he thought I was not the right Luna to lead the Pack next to him.
'Why are you sad?' Nyx asked. 'We got what we wanted. He came for us'
I sighed. 'Well yeah he did. But, I just feel he's not proud of us and also, the heat is going to come back. Maybe he thinks we're not worthy to be the Pack's Luna'
'Don't worry. I'm sure that's not what he was thinking. Maybe he has his reasons'
I smiled. 'I really hope he does' I paused. 'I'm also glad you're back. I missed you'
'I'm glad I'm back too. Now don't dwell on that thought. Let's go show them that we are capable. We're going to start with crushing Victoria'
I smiled. 'Yeah. Let's do that'
________
Throughout the day, I was at the servant's house. I went there to oversee their affairs and also to engage with them. The best way to win the people's hearts was to show them you cared about what they cared about and also valued their ideas and the best set of people to start with... the servants.
I listened to them as they each aired their views and opinions on how to make things easier and smooth in the pack.
I smiled at how much they knew, but were too scared to say anything. Colton needs to loosen up a bit and listen to his pack members.
"Thank you so much Luna for coming to see us today," the head female servant said as she bowed.
"No no. Don't do that," I said as I tried to stop her. "It's really nothing and I honestly enjoyed my time here. I look forward to coming here often,"
I looked at each of them. They seemed so tired and exhausted. They were too few here to be doing all this work.
"That reminds me," I added. "I'll be sending new servants here to help out. The work here is a lot and you all can't do it all by yourselves. You need more hands,"
They looked at each other in surprise and then at the head servant.
"You'll do that?" She asked.
"Of course," I said.
They all sighed in relief and started jumping around in happiness.
"Finally. Thank God," one of them said.
I was confused. Why did they look so happy?
"What's happening?" I asked the head servant.
"You see Luna," she started. "We've been complaining about the work here and that we need more hands, but each time, the Alpha seems it irrelevant and says it's not something he'd have to stress over. He believes we don't do much here and can handle everything,"
"What?" I muttered.
How could he? These servants do all the work, if not most work in the Pack. They cook, clean, decorate, dust, and keep everywhere clean everyday. They even go as far as washing clothes for us. How could he look down on them so much?
"I'm sorry about that. But I promise," I said, holding her hands. "You'll get more hands tomorrow,"
"Thank you Luna. We look forward to seeing you another time," she paused. "You'll make a wonderful Luna to the Pack,"
I smiled when she said that. "I'm just doing my duties,"
"Okay everyone, let's pay respect to the Luna," she commanded.
"Thank you Luna. See you next time," they said as they bowed.
"See you too," I said and left.
'That was easy' I said.
'Told you you'll be fine. But honestly, you're killing it. Those people love you already,' Nyx affirmed.
I just laughed.
Servants. Done and dusted. Next might be the warriors.
"Oh it's you,"
I stopped in my tracks. What was she doing here?
"I was just coming to see you,"
I turned around slowly and faced her. As usual, she had that annoying smile.
"Oh, were you... Victoria?"
