21. Don't do anything stupid

Felicity POV:

The next morning, I was in the mood for blood. I was sick and tired of being the odd one out. The one who can understand the vampires the one who has to sacrifice her life. If in fact I was the one who was going to have to kill the vampire I was the one who needed to be trained, I couldn’t train the pups anymore. I got ready and made my way to the kitchen. I needed one big breakfast for the day ahead.

“Good morning sweetie” Mrs Powell’s voice welcomed me into the kitchen “since you’re the first one here, I will make breakfast to order what would you like?”  she asked.

“Good morning Mrs Powell, can I please just get scrambled eggs with bacon please” I asked politely, even though I was in a mood to kill I wasn’t going to be evil to such a sweet old woman.

“Coming right up, anything else, I can make you a cherry smoothie I know how much you like them”.

“That would be amazing Mrs Powell” breaking one of the rules doing that but if I was going to be with Kilian one rule wouldn’t matter.

I started to drink my smoothie and my expectation was met, I was craving cherries since I was in bed with Kilian.  Listening to my own thought I couldn’t believe what I was thinking. I enjoyed him company, better yet I craved it. Every minute of every day Estrid would whimper in my head longing for her mate.

“Good morning darling” Kilian whispered in my ear and pecked my neck, making me nearly choke on my smoothie.

“Why are you sneaking up on me?” I grunted.

“I wouldn’t have to if you weren’t breaking one of the rules” he said eyeing up my smoothie “listen we have to talk about today?”

“What about today?” I asked .

“I’m going to challenge you today”.

“I thought that you were going to say that I’m going to accept the challenge but not because I want to be with you but because I need the full power to protect the innocent and unfortunately the only way to get that power is to mate with you, so if you’re asking me to go easy on you the answer is no” I couldn’t contain my anger, even Estrid whimpered in my head.

“I didn’t want you to go easy on me, I want a challenge” he said biting his toast.

“Is that all I am to you a challenge? I am losing something that I trained my whole life for and you’re the one gaining the mate power as well as a Luna… I can’t finish my breakfast you’ve put me off it!” I walked off and went to the gym.

Kilian

I didn’t want to offend her I just wanted her to know what my plan for today was, it would be rude to just attack her and challenge her in front of everyone.

 Bane is Estrid like her?

Beautiful? Oh yes, she is.

No, I mean stubborn and rude.

No, she is the sweetest creature there is, just don’t do anything stup….

 I cut him off before you could say anything, he was smarter than me and he had a better temper but that didn’t  mean I wanted to keep hearing ‘I told you so’ for the rest of the day. I had to follow her I wasn’t finished with this conversation. I had to follow Felicity but when I got to the gym, she was already in the ring with a punch bag.

“You know how to get on my nerves” I pointed my finger at her like I was telling her off.

“Does it look like I care Mr I Can Have It All?”. She shrugged her shoulders and went back to punching the bag. I couldn’t leave it like that, I jumped in the ring with her.

“I never said I see you as a challenge, you know you’re more than that to me” my anger was getting the best of me again.

“Ohh right I forgot I’m your ‘soul mate’, how old are you? Get your head out of your ass things like that don’t exist” she delivered a kick to my ribs; she was acting like a child.

“You’re telling me you didn’t feel the bond when you accepted me? I dodged a blow to the chest “You don’t feel the bond when we touch?” another dodge “when we kiss?” I grabbed her arm and spun her around.

“You don’t know what I feel” she was getting just angry as I was, she hit me in the face with the back of her head, making me let her go.

“Yes I do” I finally punched her in the stomach. “Just admit it Felicity, you feel it as well”.

“Okay I’ll admit one thing” she moved back to the corner of the ring. “The only reason why I’m still managing to stand next to you is because you let Estrid out and I need to learn how to control her to kill whatever is coming for us, not because I like you, fancy you or Mother forbid ever love you!” there was a moment of silence and neither of us knew what to say or what to do.

“Thank you for making your feelings so clear Felicity” I couldn’t face her anymore, she was more stubborn than I thought “I’ll see you at training”. I got out of the ring and left her to it.

I told you not to do anything stupid Bane scoffed.
