Felicity POV I stormed out of Kilian’s office and ran to my room. What was he talking about? I am a human with a wolf stuck inside of me. I refused to believe that I had wolf blood running inside of me as well. I started pacing the room. My mother warned me before coming to Marble, she actually requested for to go back home, but I swore a blood Oath to the Elders.   There was a knock on the door and I went to open it and there he was, the person who turned my whole life upside down. The first person to annoy me so much that my body turned into a wolf. The person who first revolted me, I couldn’t stand so closed to him as even his smell would give me headaches. The person who kissed me and protected me. Kilian wasn’t giving up.   We stood in silence just looking at each other for a few seconds before I shut the door in his face. He was about to say something but I didn’t even give him the chance. “Felicity please let me explain” he tried to have a conversation with me from behind the door. “Don’t even try, I’ve had enough of you!”   As I turned around, I saw the door fly off its hinges and Kilian stormed in. The floor was covered in wood debris and the air around in filled with dust.   “I don’t care how many rules I have to break, in order to protect you” he was dashing in my direction and there was no stopping him. As I threw a punch, he caught it and placed my arm under his armpit locking it in place. I only had my left hand at my disposal but I knew any attempt is now futile but I was not going to give up.  I used my knees to my disposal to hit him where it hurts, his groin, as he let go of my right arm, I delivered a few low blows.   Kilian was the only person I have fought in my life that wasn’t giving up, he stood up and threw me onto the bed. He ran over and pinned me to the bed. “Get off me! The door is gone and any of my sisters can walk in” I yelled at him. “Then let me TALK! You are the one we need protecting, you are Dracula’s chosen one and he is coming for you!” he let go of my hands and sat next to me. “You are the fiercest person I have ever known but you are so stubborn it’s infuriating just think! Think for a minute” he rested his face and let go of the frown that has formed on it. He placed his head next to mine and lied on the bed. “Please Kilian you have to go, I can’t have you in my bed” I whispered it to him. Something in me changed, I was no longer angry and asking him to leave was atrocious, it broke my heart. “I will get that door fixed” he said before leaving. As soon as he left, I packed an overnight bag. I stuffed it with a few t-shirts and some leggings. I needed to go back home and I needed to go now. As I made my way downstairs Zara was already wating for me and she stood up as soon as she saw me. I was given Zara after my first mission; every Daughter is given one. Most are from the same litter as young Daughters go out at the same time and if they come back, they will be given a Husky. Since the dogs are brought up together, they prefer their own company but Zara was different. She had her own mind and would sometime leave for days on end, whenever I needed her she would be back. The other dogs would not play with her but follow her. I thanked Sarah every day that she gifted me with such a good dog.   I opened my car door and Zara hopped in and sat on the passenger seat; she knew where we were going. We were going to Columbia, South Carolina, we were going home. It was going to be a ten-hour drive back from New Orleans but I needed some answers I had to see Mother, I had to see my blood mother.   Along the way Poppy kept on calling and messaging me. I knew she was going to confront Kilian if I didn’t pick up and the broken door in my bedroom didn’t really help my situation.   “Hello, sorry Poppy I can’t hear you I have terrible connection” I lied. “Where. The Hell. Are. You?” she emphasised every single word and I could hear murmurs in the background, my sisters must have gotten together and they were worried about me. “I’m on my way back home”. “WHAT? WHY? WITHOUT US? She shouted at me down the phone. “No, it’s something personal don’t worry about it, please just carry-on training, without me there, you are in charge practice attack tomorrow rather than defence”. “Fury you sound like a crazy person, you have disappeared and your door is busted. The dogs are going crazy and you’re telling me to calm down” she sounded like an old aunt who would shout at you over anything. “I need to speak to Mother, I promise I will tell you everything when I’m back. I’m not in trouble” I struggled with what to say. “You expect me to believe that? You’re not in trouble, wherever you go trouble follows you”. “I’ll message you later I promise, now please get some sleep”.   I didn’t stop driving, for ten straight hours I kept looking ahead when I pulled by the gate they opened, the guarding Daughters saw me and just nodded. When I got there, it was 7 am and I knew that everybody would be waking up. Zara leaped out of the car and ran upstairs to our room. I walked to my room taking it all in. My room was dark, swords and daggers covered the walls and old boxing gloves were hung at the back of the door.    I made my way to the dressing table remembering the times where we would be taught how to look “wanted”. The red lips, the high-heels, and the makeup to go with it. For some reason, our next victim would usually be a male and we could never kill them in front of everybody we would have to get them on our own.   “Fury?” I saw Margaret pop her head in. “Oh my, Fury I thought it was you. What are you doing here? I must inform Mother at once” Margaret was one of the Mother’s closest friends and a tactical analyst.  She would always tell us more information about our next target and how to kill them. “Margaret, I need to see Mother right now but before can you be honest with me?” I asked. “When have I ever lied to you?” she gave me a self-assured look. “We’re about to find out” she was stunned “Tell me about my father, tell me about the wolf”. Silence filled the room and she was lost for words, Margaret was my mother’s closest friend and she raised me whenever my mother wasn’t present, so she knew about my father. “I know some things so please do not lie” I frowned. “I think this is a conversation you need to have with your mother, this is not my place to speak”. “I’m asking you to speak” I grabbed her hand just as she was about to walk off. “He r***d your mother Fury, is that what you want to hear? Your mother abused, starved and chained to a wall?” “Why didn’t he just kill her then?” “He was a maniac, power got to his head, he wanted to cause people pain” she had tears in her eyes, something I have not seen before. It was clear that this pained her and I didn’t want to press on. “Thank you, now let’s meet Mother.”   The Great Hall has always amazed me, the fallen Mothers and Daughters were all remembered, all had a painting depicting their beauty and their runes. The oldest painting was of Anna, the first Mother to follow Sarah. She had long brown curly hair and deep green eyes. Her painting hung just above the throne at the front of the hall. The pillars of the hall all had a “Great Weapon” attached to them. The swords that were wielded by Mothers, the arrows shot to kill dangerous supernatural’s and hammers used to smash our enemies. As children we had to learn how to use each type of weapon and find one that we thought best suited us.   I never found my weapon; I was skilled in all tactics and in all battle weapons. Walking up to the throne filled me with pride, pride that would usually make me smile but I was too tired for that. I saw Mother sitting on the throne, my mother. She had the most beautiful brown eyes, and straight brown hair, there were a few grey strands but they just added to her beauty. As I approached the throne I bowed down to my mother.   “Fury, how wonderful to see you, we weren’t expecting you to be back so soon, is he defeated? Is Dracula gone?” she sounded surprised; I have never let her down so I didn’t understand why she sounded surprised. “No Mother” I said as I looked up at her “our intelligence has not notified us of his arrival in America yet, but his troops are here”. I sounded heartless like a normal soldier in her army. “His troops? How do you know?” she raised her eyebrows. “Brooke is dead, she was killed by one of his creations. They only have one weakness… their spine. They still crave blood but they have no fangs, they have white eyes and can turn the dead into one of their own”. “What are you trying to tell me?” Mother stood up, placing her hands on her hips. “He is building his army to defeat the supernaturals, he wants to be the most powerful one” I huffed. “Tell me something new, every mission you got was to kill someone who thought highly of themselves” Mother remarked. “He wants to mix his blood with a descendent of Xavier, he is looking for a female to have a child with” my mother was stunned, she didn’t have an answer. “Mother is he looking for me?”
