24. Preparations

Kilian POV:

That was probably the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time; I woke up and Felicity . was sleeping on her side of the bed with her back towards me. Her side of my bed, our bed, I guess now we have sides. I moved one arm underneath her waist and twisted her towards me in one swift movement.

“Mmmmmm” she groaned at me .

“Shhhh go back to sleep darling, I need to get some stuff ready for today” I kissed her head and started to move. Felicity wrapped her right hand around my waist.

“Five more minutes” she hasn’t opened her eyes yet.

“It is your Luna ceremony today and my mother will kill me if I don’t meet her downstairs within the next 10 minutes” Felicity sat up and just looked at me.

“You weren’t joking, were you?” she asked, giving me a worried look. I didn’t say anything I just gave her a quick smile.

Felicity walked downstairs with me as she insisted, she wanted to calm my mother down with the party planning, she didn’t know she was going to lose that argument. Zara was waiting for her outside of our room; she must have slept by the door all night.

“Morning Mrs Castor” Felicity welcomed my mother into the kitchen.

“Ohh please call me Stacey or you can call me mom if you want” my mother didn’t realise what she said.

“MOM! Watch what you say!” I roared at her.

“Ohh my, I’m so sorry, I just knew you were going to be my daughter in law as soon as I saw you but the ‘in-law’ is so official, you’re practically family, and you will be after tonight” she gave me a quick smile.

“About tonight… Stacey…. I don’t want a massive party; I don’t want the Elders knowing that …”

“Ohh don’t be silly, you don’t want a big party because you never had a Castor party planned by me… a real Stacey party, and don’t worry about the Elders, they do know you’ve been defeated but they don’t know you’re a wolf, no-one knows” she stopped halfway through the sentence as she saw one of the Omegas carrying a box into the kitchen. She moved Felicity to the side and stormed in the direction of the Omega. “WHO TOLD YOU TO LEAVE THE FLOWERS IN THE KITCHEN?! THEY ARE TO REMAIN IN THE HALL! MUST I DO EVERYTHING MYSELF?” She carried on screaming when she walked out of the kitchen followed by the Omega.

“You think you can go up against my mother when she is in a full party mode? Good Luck” I said whilst placing both of my hands on her shoulders, she was tensed and uncomfortable. “Listen about your wolf…. She has to come out… tonight”.

“What? Why?” she stepped back and gave me an evil look.

“When you become the Luna of my pack…. our pack, you will be connected with the whole pack and you will be required to go for a run with some of the members, you won’t have control over it, Estrid will need to create that bond and that is the only way”.

“What if I refuse? What if Estrid doesn’t want to?” she was starting to panic; she knew that her sisters would see her shift for the first time and so far, I was the only person who has seen Estrid.

“You won’t be able to stop it… you will crave it” I grabbed her waist and pulled her towards me…. “Just like I’m craving you now”.

“Uhhhmm uhmmm, Morningggggg” Seth pretended to cough in the doorway and Felicity pulled away and walked out ignoring him. Seth turned towards me with a massive grin on his face.

“Good Morning Seth, are you ready for today?” I sat down on one of the chairs and proceeded to eat my breakfast.

“Yes, I am Alpha, your beautiful sister has chosen a suit for me to wear” he stopped when he looked at my confused face. “What?”

“You’re going to wear a suit to training?”

“Training? Before the Luna Ceremony? What if she gets hurt or worse what if I get hurt and bruise my angelic face?” he was so full of himself.

“Don’t worry we’re going on a run today, improving our stamina and cardio” I shouted behind me as I walked bout of the kitchen to catch up with Felicity.

“How far? How far Alpha” I heard him shout in the kitchen.

Felicity POV:

My chest was starting to hurt as I ran through the forest, I was never the fastest runner but I wasn’t the worst. I could see Claudia about 10 meters in front of me but she was  getting further and further ahead. At the age of 17 she was already the fastest Daughter and no one could catch up with her. Some of the wolves were trying and making good effort but at the same time Claudia was a human and they had wolves inside of them.  Her soft blonde hair was swaying from side to side and I could hear her steady breathing.  I guess my hearing was improving, after 15 KM we circled back to Marble and everyone rushed to the drinks table.

“EVERYONE SPRINT” Kilian shouted at them from behind me, “THAT WAS JUST THE WARMUP!” he slowed down as he walked past me “you’ll get the real workout later tonight darling” he said quietly whilst giving me a quick wink.

Marble Pack had a racetrack which the Daughters haven’t used for training yet. I saw Claudia running on it a few times in the evening and we used the middle part for some sparing but that was about it.

As the day continued the Daughters trained together and Marble Pack trained in their wolf from, I had to admit the smell was overpowering and it was bringing Estrid out.

Let me out Fury.

Don’t call me that and apparently, you’re going to come out tonight.

You’re still Fury, you are still the best fighter, you did what you had to do.

Thank you, I promise I’ll let you out tonight.

Around three in the afternoon we walked back to the Estate to we were stunned by the number of tables that were already set up in the garden. On each beautiful table there were empty champagne glasses and bouquets of flowers.

“Ummmm is there something going on tonight that we should know about Fury” Claudia asked.  I forgot to tell my sisters as Kilian told me late last night and I didn’t get a chance.

“He’s taking me tonight sisters, they are holding this party to commemorate that” I confessed. My sisters all stopped walking and turned around.

“No” Lily said silently.

“Go home Fury” Georgia followed. I raised my hand to gesture for them to stop talking.

“You know I can’t, I was defeated in a challenge…. you were all there to see it and now he has to take me, I am to be his Luna, if I go home, I will break our law and I will be an outcast”.

“Wait!” Sienna spoke out “I thought only she-wolves can be Lunas. He is expecting you to help him lead a pack of wolves?” she was confused as the rest of my sisters.

I had to look at Poppy for support, she was the only one who knew who I really was. “When I went home couple of nights ago, I spoke to Mother and she told me the truth … a wolf got her pregnant, apparently, I am half wolf and during this Luna Ceremony my wolf is going to come out for everyone to see” I walked past them and carried on up the stairs, leaving them speechless and confused.

“Fury wait” one of them said following me making me turn around. “We won’t judge you, we love you for who you are, even when you’re shedding fur” Poppy stood in front of me and laughed. “We will be there for you tonight… but I promise you the first chance I get I will beat him to a pulp for taking my sister away from me” she gave me a quick hug before leading me back to the Estate.
