Brielle’s POV I couldn’t sleep that night. The letters kept spinning in my mind. Her words. Her pain. All the things I had wanted to hear, and all the things I wished I didn’t have to read. I sat by my window, hugging my knees to my chest. The moon hung low, soft and pale. Everything was quiet. Too quiet. Even the wind outside didn’t dare move. And then my phone buzzed. A message. Unknown number: You’re not supposed to be in that house, Brielle. Walk away before it’s too late. I froze. My stomach dropped, and my fingers went cold. Who was that? I tried calling the number.
