"What i do is none of your business," I said, not spearing him a glance.

he crossed his arms. " Just curious, it's almost as if you have your own plans."

"Why do you care? we both know you don't like her, so why are you so bothered with what i do with her? "

"truely spoken, but with you it's different the Alpha of the Regans mates Zara of Edwood, it's sure going to stain the reputation you have built" he emphasised the last part what sick game was he playing was he tying to get a reaction from me?

" she won't longer be your problem, so why keep her? you know sometimes i wonder if you are truly the Alpha of Edwood pack or you're just a joke, Alpahs don't pick on the weak we go for the stronger once" his expression changed his jaw tighted, he was tying to show he wasn't affected by my words but he was terrible at hiding it.

"Your mate is waiting for you in the car. Next time we meet again, I hope the situation will be different." He smirked and offered his hand for a shake.

"I don't look forward to that," i plainly said and walked out without returning the hand shake.

I got into the car she was there waiting for me, she sat at the door end of the car. the ride was quiet only the noise of the car was heard, her attension was outside the window what was she thinking of? she seemed lost in thought I could only see the side of her face.

My plans were slowly adding in place she was right where i wanted her to be, we me. After thinking carefully, I made up my mind to accept her as my mate for only one reason. she will be a great asset and give be all the information to distroy her pack, i don't think I would be able to get her to talk but one thing was evident, she looked broken and lost all I need to do is to gain her trust that way she would tell me what plans her brother had. I told my council members about my plans only mother was heard to convince before she later came to realization there's no other way if she wants me to truly have a mate. everything was arranged for the wedding only I haven't told her the wedding will be this night.

Zara's POV.

my eyes roam as we got to the Alpah court the helps were outside to recieve us, the interior deco looked remarkable and captivating that i hadn't realise Vulvan was five steps ahead of me, he walked fast that i struggled to catch up with my pase. what was I supposed to do? I didn't know if I should call him to slow down or run up to him. he opened a door and walked in, and i did aswell, it was a room and a large king-size bed that could obviously occupy two people. My heart skipped. Was he going to do it now? we just arrive, my breath becomes heavy, he must have noticed because his attension turned to me.

"Are you okay?" he calmly asked

"Yes... yes I am," I nervously managed to say.

"OK, good, this will be your room now, your luggage will be brought up to you, but for now, you have to rest cause the wedding will be happening this night."

I was dump founded for a moment "wedding? is it not too quick, we don't even know each other? " What have I gotten myself into? my palms became sweaty, and why was he smirking? Was it a joke to him.

" We do things differently here, if you were a Regan it won't be so quick but since you are Edwood you have to bear my clan name in other for me to Claim you" he was now close to me his height towering over me and his breathe tinggles my ears "And you know how dangerous a wolf can be when he hasn't claimed his mate, I will see you at the wedding Zara" he whispered then turned and leave I stood there looking like a leaf, his words send shiver down my spine. was i doing the right thing?, what if this marraige a trap, or he just want to sleep with me like Savik said, I only need to carryout Savik's plan and all this will be over I conciously told myself.

An hour later, Here I was facing Vulvan at the alter, everyone was seated watching as we exchanged our vows, there was no spark of love between us, it felt like mere words said between two people, his eyes never leaving mine, his expression unreadable, "you may now kiss the bride" the priest said, I didn't move an intch I was anxious, Vulvan on the other hand seemed willing, he draped his arms round my waists brought me close, within seconds his lips was on mine, the crowed cheered and some came to congratulate us.

"Congratulations, both of you," a woman I have never met before huged us both.

"Zara, this is Queen Luna of the pack and also my mother," Vulvan said, so she's vulvan's mother, she looks really beautiful.

"Nice to meet you ma'am"

"welcome dear, so happy to finally meet you, I hope Vulvan didn't street you on your way here," she smiled warmly.

"NO, he didn't," I replied.

"Alright then, Vulvan, you should take her to your room she must be tired. I will leave you be, see you around." she gave me a hug and left.

I washed my face with the tap water in the bethroom, the night wear was quiet revealing and the scar on my back was showing, I tried using makeup to cover it but it didn't work and Vulvan was waiting for me In the bedroom he has made it clear i would have my seperate room, i will just spend the night cause it's our wedding night.

I rines my face again and took a deep breath before leaving the bathroom. I opened the door and he was sitting shirtless, his head rested on the heardboard and his lustful eyes quickly darted to my body, I felt naked under his intense gaze were I stood, I froze not knowning what to do. I have never done this before, but my wolf was sure ready to be claimed. We both stared at each other as the tension grew.
