I tightened my grip around the edge of the table. “I don’t want to be Alpha,”
Beta Jacob Sinclair cleared his throat. “But you know that’ll not happen. You’re meant to be the next Alpha of this pack,”
My jaw clenched. I wasn’t in a good headspace to go back and forth with any of the pack elders. And I know damn well why Beta Jacob is so adamant on getting me to take the Alpha position.
