Mooncreek town has been a beacon of light for werewolves for centuries, a safe haven. They have lived among humans, interacting with them, living next door with them everyday and have managed to keep their secret with the help of a few humans in power, tying up loose ends to keep their secret safe. With the peace accord and treaty established by the alphas of old, werewolves have lived together without danger or risk of exposure or war in mooncreek, but all that peace and coexistence began to crumble from the night of the feast, which was later tagged, ‘Blood feast'.
(Night of the feast)
Adams Carter killed the engine of his car, took a deep breath, then turned to the backseat where his 5 year old son, Craig, was sitting. He stared at him and then smiled softly. “Wait in the car. No matter what you hear, don't come out of the car” He instructed as softly as he could. Craig nodded, not knowing what was going on but as the obedient boy he was raised to be, he heeded his father's words carefully.
A subtle tap landed on the window. Adams glanced at the interruptor and then sighed. He saw the three of them standing outside, waiting for him patiently. He stroked Craig's cheek and then removed his seatbelt before alighting from the vehicle.
Craig could not see the men's faces but he recognized their voices. They were the same men who had been visiting their home frequently for the past month. He watched them and his father disappear into the crowd of people formed in front of the manor. Even with the door close, he could hear faint sound of music being played from the manor.
He crawled to the window, sitting on his knees on the seat and staring out, getting a clearer view of the different classes of people present at the party. The famous end of year wolf feast he had heard so much of. Now that he got to witness it, he was locked in the car. He was disappointed. He lay on his back and stared at the car's roof, trying to block off the jubilating noise of the wolves as they partied their asses off.
Getting angry by the second for being abaddoned in the car, Craig would soon find out that, that day was the defining moment that changed their lives forever. With a loud shriek and growl he heard from the manor, that was the beginning of it. He sat up abruptly only to see wolves running out of the house in frenzy, shouting and growling. He searched and waited eagerly for his father to come out but he couldn't see him nor his companions anywhere.
He was on the verge of getting out to go searching for his father when he saw him running towards the car, holding something wrapped in a blanket. On getting closer, Craig noticed his father was covered in blood and when he got into the car, he noticed something important that was changed too. When his father turned to look at him, his eyes were different. Up until they came to the party, his father's wolf eyes were yellow and now it was red which left Craig to wonder. How did his father go into the party a Beta and came out an Alpha? But he would soon find out how his father's eye color and whatever was wrapped in the blanket had come to change their lives.
(25 years later)
Cara stared at her reflection in the mirror, proud at how she had grown to be attractive even though she do say so herself. Her wavy silver blonde hair that rested on her chest brought out her blue eyes that was well placed on her diamond shaped face. She was 5"8 with an hourglass figure. Her golden skin seemed to be glowing more that evening. Done admiring herself, she did a twirl with the incredibly large t-shirt she was putting on and then dropped her hairbrush, came out of the bathroom and plumped down on her queen sized bed.
She stared at the clock on the wall and groaned in fraustration. Just few more hours before the guest starts arriving and she still wasn't in the mood for a social gathering. Turning to lay on her back, Cara sighed. If it were up to her, she wouldn't want to leave her room for the rest of the night, but it wasn't and sooner rather than later ‘Miss party planner' would burst through the door to drag her out of the comfort of her exquisite bedroom. “Get up, get up, get up!!!" Laura shrieked excitedly as she burst through the door.
“Speak of the devil” Cara muttered, closing her eyes and enjoying her last few seconds of freedom.
“Get up Cara!" Laura shouted again. Standing at 5"7, Laura was an attractive thin girl, although she wasn't as full on the right places as Cara, she would hold her own against her when it comes to men. She had a brown straight hair that rested on her shoulders and hazel eyes that complimented her face.
“Go away Laura” Cara placed one of the pillows on her face.
“They want you with the family when the guests start to arrive” Laura ripped the pillow from her, exposing her face.
“Tell them I have been killed and sold for meat”
“Yeah right. You want the Alpha to burn this town to the ground” Laura quipped, grabbing her hand pulling her up. “Come on girl, Craig is waiting to escort you to the party” she added
“What?! I haven't even dressed and guest would start arriving in the next hour” Cara sat up abruptly
“Well you know he doesn't like to be late” Laura shrugged, walking to the bathroom. “Get your ass up wolf. Get ready and let's go party”

“Father” Craig called softly, walking into the Alpha's private study. Both sides of the room was filled with books. A table consisting of two chairs on the both sides and one at the top where the alpha sits, was placed at the centre of the room. Craig walked closer to his father and sat on the chair closest to him. “You called for me”
For an Alpha of his age, Adams Carter could easily pass for a 40 year old father, who has a consistent workout routine. He had a very short dark hair with green eyes and his facial structure which altogether gave him an intimidating look. Like his father, Craig had green eyes which sat on his chiselled face and sharp jaws. He was well built, standing tall at 6"2. He had a medium length black hair.
“Yes. I needed to speak with you before the guests arrive” Alpha Carter stated, pouring a fresh glass of whiskey and handing it to Craig
“I know what you are going to say father. You say it every year. That we should be careful and on high alert about all the packs coming together in one room...”
“Yes but this time it is different” He cut in. “We found a dead wolf by the banks of black water river. One of our own” He continued
“What?...why am I just hearing about this and why aren't we on it?" Craig questioned
“Because we need to show that we are not a pack that run scared when something like this happens. We need to act cool, eventually we will find the guilty party. Hopefully at the party. For now we need to keep it quiet” Alpha Carter instructed
“Alright father. We'll do it your way”
“And one more reason we should be on high alert tonight...” he started and took a sip from his whiskey. “We are hearing rumours about one of the packs planning on forcefully taking Cara as a mate” He took another sip of his drink, knowing how angry that would made his son.
“Nah, that can't be true. It's not possible is it? And even if it is, I'll kill them all before I let them lay a finger on her” He stated angrily, his eyes turning yellow.
“Calm now son. Just don't let her out of your sight tonight” The Alpha concluded.

“Cara!” Laura called coming into Cara's bedroom. She stopped to admire Cara when she saw her fully dressed and standing by the window. “Wow! Even I couldn't pull that off” She complimented, admiring the white strapless dress that hugged her body in the right places. The gown dropped to the floor, covering her heels. “You look stunning”
“Thank you” Cara smiled, doing a quick and slow twirl. “You look amazing yourself” She added, staring the blue body hugging gown that stopped just above the knees, Laura was wearing.
“Thanks” She approached Cara and made some final touches to her hair. “The guests are starting to arrive and Craig is waiting for you outside. Go on, I'll be out in a minute” Said Laura. Cara smiled, took a deep breath and began heading for the door.
Craig turned facing the door as soon as he heard it click open. His jaw dropped and he stared with widened eyes as Cara stepped out of the room in a dress that seemed she was born in. His gaze fixed on her made her blush as she looked down feeling a bit embarrassed by his stare. “My God Cara, you look amazing” was all he could muster.
“Thanks” She looked up at him, her cheeks still red from blushing. He opened his arm which she took as they began walking downstairs where the party was being held.
“I need you to stay close to me all through the night” He spoke up
“Why? Is something happening?" She inquired
“Hopefully not but we need to play it safe tonight” Craig explained. She nodded in understanding just as they came onto the stairs that led down to the main hall where the guests were. “Here goes nothing” Craig sighed.
Cara took a deep breath as they began descending down the stairs. She forced a smile on her face, a smile she was to maintain all through the night. Formal parties aren't the kind of things she fancied but the end of year wolf feast isn't something she could get out of, especially since they were always the ones hosting it. “Father" she called on getting to the bottom of the stairs where Alpha Carter was waiting for them.
Alpha Carter smiled when his eyes fell on Cara. “As always you look beautiful little wolf” He said softly, opening his arms which she took. She smiled warmly, feeling a bit better now that she was in the middle of both trustworthy men in her life. She smiled broadly, locking her arms in theirs as they escorted her into the party where the guests where. “Glad you could make it, Harris” Alpha Carter smiled on seeing the Alpha of the Crescent pack and his Luna. “Good to see you Ramona” He added
“Same here” Ramona smiled, parting her red coloured lips. Her dark eye shadow gave her a witchy look. She had always been a bold wolf. Not a type that believes women should accept less because they are women.
“Good to see you Adams” Alpha Harris shook hands with Alpha Carter.
“I don't see the twins” Alpha Carter said, scanning the room
“Oh, they couldn't make it. Pressing issues concerning the pack” Ramona replied and then looked over to Cara. “Well, if it isn't the white wolf” She smiled eyeing Cara
“Nice to see you again Ramona” Said Cara “And you Alpha Harris” she added
“Yeah it's good to see you all and we hope you enjoy the party. We should go greet the other guests and let you all be” Craig stated and the led Cara away.
“Why don't we get the meeting out of the way and come to enjoy the party” He said and then walked away with Alpha Harris, leaving Ramona at the party.

Alpha Carter sat on his chair in his study after exchanging pleasantries with all the alphas that came to the party. The meeting was always held at the end of every month and it just happened to fall on the day of the party. Closing the door of the study, the party's noise was shut off. He stared at the Alphas as they all took their seat round the table. He cleared his throat and began “Welcome Alphas. I'm glad we could all make it”
“I must say it's a nice touch to this year's party” Alpha Walker stated
“Yeah, better than the last” Alpha Harris added
“Yeah but something is still the same...” Alpha Michael started, patting his beards “Your son still hasn't found a mate, neither does the white wolf. You really should let them come to our packs and find their mates” He added with a stern tone
“Thank you for your generosity but no thanks” Alpha Carter replied
“Is something wrong with the wolves in our pack?" Alpha Walker questioned sitting up
“Nothing is wrong. I just have my reasons”
“Your pride gets bigger every year Adams. Your pack isn't better than ours. You think your wolves are too good for ours” Alpha Michael quarrelled
“I haven't forced any of you to let your wolves come find their mates in my pack, so, please respect my decision. And that's not the focus of today's meeting” He explained
“And what is?" Alpha Walker asked
“It's been 25 years since we had an agreement, a deal. A deal that hasn't been held up” He paused, reading the disapproval on their faces, making him know they knew fully well what he was talking about. “I think it's time that deal should be honored”
“We've lived in peace for 25 years. I don't see any reason to honor such a barbaric deal. Besides I can speak for the others when I say we've all grown accustomed to mooncreek. We've all built our lives here and we can't just hop and leave after all these years” Alpha Harris stated
“You've always brought this up. Every year and I think it's time you give up the idea that, that deal is still valid” Alpha Michael added
“Why do you want us to leave such a town when we all can benefit from it” Said Alpha Walker
“This is my town. Four packs can't exist in one town and make no mistake, there's nothing peaceful about the past 25 years. I brought you all into this town and it's time to leave” Alpha Carter said as calmly as he could
“Careful now Adams. You might start a war” Alpha Michael sank back on his chair

“Hello Craig” Edward Walker said walking up to them. “Hello Cara” he flashed her a smile, staring at her with flirtatious eyes. “Nice party you have going on here” he stood in front of them.
Cara rolled her eyes. She couldn't stand him. He always found a way of upsetting her. Although he was the son of an Alpha, he had managed to attract disrespect to himself. “Didn't know you came Edward” Cara said, scanning the room for what might save her from having a conversation with him. “Oh!" She exclaimed on sighting Laura up the stairs. “Sorry I have to go. Laura needs me” She said as she unhooked her arm from Craig's.
Her eyes met Craig and he shot her a ‘what the hell look'. She shrugged and mouthed “I'm sorry" before disappearing into the crowds.
“I guess it's just us” Edward turned to face Craig
“I guess it is” Craig sighed in fraustration.
“She is one exquisite wolf isn't she? The white wolf. It's a shame she hasn't gotten a mate yet” He began not paying attention to Craig's eyes that was drilling holes in his head. “I wouldn't mind claiming her if she doesn't find a mate” He kisses his teeth, staring at Cara who just got up the stairs.
“What did you say?" Craig questioned, his anger rising to the surface
“Whoa!" Edward shifted on seeing the angry look on Craig's face. “I was just kidding. You need to chill” He added and took a glass of champagne from the table beside them.

“This is one depressing party” Cara pointed, standing next to Laura at the top of the stairs. Staring at all the wolves present at the party. They seemed to be having a good time which was surprising to Cara. She couldn't wait till it was all over and she could retreat to the comfort of her bedroom.
“It's not all that bad....there is....” Laura paused, searching for something assuring to say but came up empty “Yeah it is. It is bad” She downed her champagne. “Maybe you could find a Beta you like” she shrugged
“Have you?" Cara quipped
“Nah...none to my taste”
“You know you need a mate right?" Cara chuckled
“So do you” Laura laughed “I....” She trailed off. Cara glanced at her, wondering what got her in an awe state. “Oh my God! Is that...”
Cara averted her gaze to where Laura was staring at and she in turn was left in awe as they both stared at the front door. “Damon King” She muttered. Not expecting to see him, especially at a wolf party.
“He's gotten hotter” Laura gasped. Damon was about the same height as Craig. Well built with a physique that only hitting a gym regularly could provide although, he wasn't bulky. He had a dark medium length curtain haircut with blue eyes and a dimple that presented themselves when he smiled. “I can see he didn't shed his bad boy look” Laura added
Cara just stared from above. She hadn't seen him since highschool and now here he was looking the same but yet completely different. She gave a warm smile as their eyes made contact which he returned. She took a deep breath as he began heading towards them. She noticed the wolves staring at him curiously, wondering what a human was doing at a wolves party.
“Hello Cara” Damon smiled. She couldn't stop herself from smiling, neither could she stop herself from pulling him into a hug. “Glad to know you are not mad at me” He said, still holding her in the hug.
She pulled away from the hug with furrowed brows and then punched him his shoulders “Ouch!" He exclaimed
“I am not mad, I'm furious. Disappearing without any warning and not reaching out to anyone for years. How could you Damon?" She questioned, now clearly upset.
“Yeah I know. I have no excuse whatsoever but I'm sorry” He apologized still maintaining his smile and straightening the hands of his suit.
“She has forgiven you. You know she can't stay mad for long” Laura chipped in
“Hey!" Cara protested
“Good to see you again Laura” Damon moved closer to her and drew her in for a hug.
“Yeah it's been too long” Laura replied before they broke the hug. “Why don't we all go get a drink and then catch up” She suggested and everyone thought it a good idea.

Victor Morgan sat down on the steel chair with a machete in his hand. He stared at the chained wolf in silence. The wolf stood there exhausted and unable to fight for freedom with his two hands chained to both pillars beside him. “Well” Victor exclaimed, his voice echoing through the empty storage facility. “I guess that's that” He looked over at his son standing on his right hand side and nodded.
Drake picked up his machete and walked over to where the wolf was. He glanced back at his sister and father who were staring at him, waiting for him to get it over with. He shifted his gaze back to the wolf, took a deep breath and with one heavy stroke, cut off the head of the wolf. “Let's clean this up and focus on our mission now that the last piece has fallen into place” Victor stood up.
“There are four alphas, four packs here in Mooncreek town. How are we supposed to hunt them all?" Crystal asked
“What is the one rule we hunters should never forget?" He asked
“Know thy enemy” She replied
“Good. From what we have learned, there's bad blood between the Alpha's. The whole town is a keg of gunpowder, all we need to do is light a match and everything will go up in flames” He explained
“So what's the plan?" Drake asked coming up behind them.
“The plan is have them do our job for us. Start a war between them. Let them kill themselves and then we swoop in and kill whichever beast is remaining and I know just how to start that war. We need to find this so called white wolf” He said with an evil grin.
