Crystal arrived at the storehouse which has been their hideout since they arrived the town. Spotting her brother and father sorting through weapons on the table, she knew they were probably heading on a mission. “Hey! I got your text. What are we doing?" She asked, joining them at the table and staring at the crossbows, machetes and guns placed on it.

“Elena found a few wolves deep in the woods at the edge of town. We are hitting it tonight” Victor explained

“A pack?" She inquired

“Not sure. She said they might be rogues” He replied.

“Hey check your crossbow. I think it's jammed” Drake said to her as he was checking the recoil of his sidearm.

“Will they be joining us? Elena and Andrew" She asked picking up her crossbow

“Yeah. They'll meet us at the location. Now, sort out your weapons, get everything ready and get some rest. We hunt come night” Victor instructed c*****g his rifle.

Damon handed kate a glass of wine and sat down on the couch adjacent to her. She kept staring at him smiling as she sipped from her wine. “You don't look so happy that I'm here. Aren't you glad to see me?" She asked, crossing her legs and pushing her blonde hair away from her eyes.

“I am happy. I'm just still surprised that you are really here. Especially since this isn't a good time to come to this town" He replied

“Why? Are there monsters waiting to devour us all?" She quipped, chuckling

“Oh you have no idea” Damon muttered to himself, sipping from his glass. “So for how long are you planning to stay?" He questioned

“I don't know yet. Maybe till I figure out what to do next now that I'm unemployed" Kate replied

“About that. Why did you quit?"

“It was becoming exhausting and I felt like....like there was more for me out there. More for me to do, you know" She explained.

“Yeah...I guess"

“So! It's still morning. How about you take me round town and show me all the interesting things the mysterious Mooncreek town has to offer?” She said excitedly.

“Of course..." Damon sighed “But first I need to go see my father and then I'm all yours" he added downing the remaining content of his glass.

“Great! I'll go with you. I need to see your dad too. It's only fair since you have seen mine” She said with a pleading voice.

Damon thought about it and knew she wasn't gonna give up until he agreed to it and decided not to drag it at all. “Alright” He nodded in agreement.

“Yay! Now I'm excited" She dropped her glass and then stood up, walking excitedly toward the direction of the bedroom.

“There's something we can do. Something that would put a stop to all this madness and keep our enemies at Bay" Craig stated, pacing about in his father's office with a glass of wine in his hand. He peeked at the Alpha who seated calmly behind his desk, probably thinking about all this like he was. He knew his father was probably just as worried as he was, but he doesn't show it.

“Yeah there's probably a way but we have to think of it. All we are doing now is a temporary solution. We have hunters at our back trying to push us into extinction, we have the other packs who are trying to take all we have and we have rogues trying the same thing. If only we could come up with a plan to eliminate all three problems at once” Alpha Carter sighed

“But what do those rogues want with Cara? They must have seen something for them to be trying to recruit her” Craig took a sip from his drink, trying to force down the worry that was coming to surface.

“Whatever they want or saw doesn't matter. What matters is that we do not allow them get their claws in her” He said sternly. “What about the agreement you both made? If you could hasten the timeline we would have solved a problem.” He questioned

“No father. We set that timeline because we needed time think about all of it. I'm not gonna pressure her into it” Craig replied

“Very well then. Another plan it is" Alpha Carter concluded, kissing his teeth.

“You look troubled girl” Laura pointed out, sitting on the bed next to Cara. “Is it about what happened?" She questioned staring at her Intently.

“Yeah. It's just about what they said. I can't get it out of my head and it's been bothering me. What if they are right and I am in fact, one of them?” She asked

“Like Craig said, they could be playing you. It might just be an act to get you on their side”

“What if it isn't? Why would they want me in the first place? Why not go for some stronger wolf? What's so special about me?" She blurted out.

“I don't know the questions to that. But I do know you are special. I mean you are the white wolf. The only one in this whole country. Maybe it means something to them and that's why they want you on their side” Laura explained. She squinted her eyes at Cara “No, no, no. I know that look” She shook her head noticing the vacant stare Cara had. The stare she always has when she was about to do something she's not suppose to.

“What? I'm just thinking about it. I mean, if they wanted to hurt me, they wouldn't have let me go” Cara defended

“Maybe that's because they knew you would have this stupid idea to pay them a visit again and they'll probably carry out what they had planned to do” Laura protested

“I just need to know the answers to these questions bothering me...” She said, forming a pitiful look on her face. “You can come with me if you like” She added

“I can't believe this. I don't like this in the slightest...but I'm not letting you go there alone either” Laura gave in, rolling her eyes.

“Thank you!" Cara shouted excitedly, hugging her. “I knew I could count on you. We'll go at night" She explained.

Damon opened the door slightly and peeked into the office, staring at the Mayor directly to signify his presence. The mayor waved for him to come in. Entering into the office with Kate behind him, he smiled at his father. “Good to see you dad" He said sitting down.

“Nice to meet you Mr Mayor” Kate said smiling.

“You are welcome. Please seat” He said to her, pointing at the free seat beside Damon.

“Dad, Kate, Kate, my father” Damon Introduced

“Nice to meet you Kate” The mayor smoked at her, extending an handshake

“Likewise sir" She replied accepting the handshake.

“So, what gives Son? We were suppose to meet for dinner yesterday. You stood me up"

“Sorry about that. That's the reason I came to see you now before we embark on Kate's day. I stayed to help the Carter's with a problem, concerning Cara” He explained as best as he could without giving out any eye raising information.

“Oh I heard about that. So how did it go? Is she okay now?" The Mayor asked

“Yeah, everything is fine now” He nodded

“Cara huh?" Kate asked, turning to face Damon.

“She's a childhood friend of mine. We grew up together, attended the same school till I left” He explained

“Oh yeah, I definitely have to meet her. She definitely has all the dirt on you" Kate grinned.

“So are you two...??" The Mayor asked

“No. We used to but we broke up. So now we are just....”

“Friends” Kate completed his sentence, smiling.

“Alright. So I guess we should setup another diner tonight. This time Kate could join in" The mayor suggested

“Yeah that's good" Damon replied

“Thanks Mr Mayor. I'll be honored" Kate stated

Hunter and Hayden arrived at the cabin. Staring at both sides to make sure they weren't being followed before they proceeded inside. “Hello mother" Hayden alerted as they walked up to where she was sitting with a bottle of wine in her hand.

“So how did it go? Did he buy it?" She asked, setting the bottle down on the table in front of her

“Yeah we think he bought it” Hunter replied

“Good. Now let's continue" She stated

“Edward!" Alpha Carter called, climbing down the stairs. “to what do I owe this unannounced visit? Is it a message from your father?" He questioned

“Not at all. I came here because I have some useful information for you. An information you probably want” Edward replied as Alpha Carter stood in front of him.

“And what information might that be?”

“The killer you seek. The name of the person that killed a member of your pack” Edward stated, trying to maintain a poker face.

“And why would you tell me this? I know it's not because you are generous"

“I am telling you because I know you might have a number of people in mind that you think is involved but you know my father, he isn't one to start a fight and I don't want him dragged into this” He explained

“Alright then. So who is the killer?" Alpha Carter asked

“The Alpha of Bluemoon pack. Alpha Michael"

“Alpha Michael huh?! Thank you Edward. I know just what to do” Alpha Carter concluded and began heading back up the stairs, leaving Edward there.

Edward Smiled sheepishly, proud of himself and thinking about how well he had gone about it and how he has pit two packs against each other and how he had put to motion a plan to elevate their pack. He brought out his phone as he began heading toward the exit door of the manor. “Hello father...” He said, coming out of the manor. “You don't have to go along with your plan. I solved our little problem and also solved a bigger one..."

Cara and Laura made their way through the woods, following the trail the rogues took in bringing Cara back. “So they didn't blindfold you bringing you here? They just let you know the direction to their hideout” Laura inquired, looking around.

“Yeah. Maybe because they wanted me to be able to locate them if I had a changed of heart" Cara replied

“That's a big risk on their part. They didn't think about what would have happened if you had told the Alpha. And why didn't you tell them?"

“I don't know. I just had this feeling like I shouldn't tell them. So I just said I was blindfolded....Look, that's it, that's the cabin" Cara pointed at the cabin some metres from them as she quickened her footsteps.

“Slow down Cara” Laura called after her. “Wait! I think I hear something" she added just before they saw some little light heading towards the cabin.

Cara quickly docked and hid behind a tree. Laura rushed toward her and hid behind the tree too and they slowly peeked at the light again and could see them clearly. A few persons with different weapons, marching towards the cabin. “Hunters" Cara whispered

“Damn it! What should we do? They will kill them if we don't warn them. What should we do Cara?" Laura whispered urgently
