As the words fell from her lips, she knew she had goofed.
She remembered Keratin telling her that mating someone comes when it comes. In other words, it's the wolf that takes over, and not the human, because it instinctively knows when it's mate is ready because of its strong keen senses, so even if she said she was ready, Keratin's wolf might not mark her because it truly knew when she was.
She decided to do something about her earlier statement.
"I will not stand for this. . ." She wove her hand about helplessly. "Talking about me like I'm not here, it's just not on. Marking me is something of a private nature and not one to be talked about carelessly and recklessly."
