His Vow (Part 2)

1238 Words
Coletta Leaving my sister to attend to her tasks, I went and found a seat near the far right of the room. But no matter where I looked, or what I did while we waited for the event to start, I could feel Dimitri’s eyes on me as if he were claiming me. Sliding my gaze up, I caught his gaze and their was an intensity to the shade of light green that made my breath catch. But as much as I wanted to turn my eyes away, I didn’t. I held his stare. It felt like years when the announcement for the meeting to start broke the connection. His eyes left mine to find my father’s, who was now saying his opening speech. Reluctantly, I turned my eyes to the front of the room. All throughout the opening of the event, I took notes and was diligent in my tasks. I had nearly forgotten the prescence of Mr. Vlaskesitchi altogether. Nearly….My gaze would wander every now and then back to him. But he would be staring straight ahead, his attention on whatever speaker was currently presenting. I couldn’t deny the feeling of disappointment that those jade eyes were not still fixated on me. When noon rolled around and the first official break was given, I stood and made my way to the line of guests filing out of the room. With each event that was put on by Mozentano Empire, a lucheon was always provided as curtesy to those in attendence. They had hired a famous Italian Bistro to cator today’s lunch which I was very much looking forward to. As I passed through the doorway to follow the crowd, I felt an undeniable presence that scent awareness skittering throughout my body. I knew who it was but I refused to look behind me. I really didn’t want to give him the satisfication of my interest. So I kept walking, ignoring him. Entering into the food line, I attempted to keep my eyes forward on all the possible food choices I would pile my plate with. But when I felt his presence get closer, I couldn’t take it anymore and I spun around. My nose just barely brushed his chest illiciting a surprised gasp. I didn’t realize he was this close! “Wha-” I started but he quickly cut me off by chuckling low and the sound reverberated straight to the center of my core. Stunned, I could only stare at him. “You did a wonderful job ignoring me. But please do let me know if the next executive director of contracts is supposed to ignore potential business inquiries?” His voice was low, so low it felt like it was velvet on my too sensitive skin. The insult was not lost on me though and I frowned. “I assure you, I wasn’t trying to offend you by ignoring you. And I would’ve eventually talked to you but,” I paused, frowning further. “How did you know I was going to be the next executive director of contracts?” His eyes twinkled and he nodded for me to walk forward since the line had moved up quite considerably. Reluctantly, I did what he suggested. “Being in a position of power, I make it my business to know everything about potential contracts and partnerships.” I wanted to turn back and look at him while he talked so I could drink in the sight of those features that matched such a sexy voice. But I refrained. “I guess that makes sense,” I mumbled. Picking up a plate, I began to make my way through the food. Salad, pasta, a breadstick, and dessert were placed on my plate. It all looked so delicious and I could practically feel my mouth water with anticipation. “Mind if I join you Miss. Mozentano,” my shadow asked and I was reminded that he was still hovering so close to me. Pursing my lips I nodded once. He led us to a table more secluded and instantly my senses became alert. “I must confess something to you,” he said with a more serious air about him now and as I sat, I arched a brow in question. “I did not attend today to make a business deal.” Now I was intruiged. “Oh? Please do tell me Mr. Vlaskevitichi, why you decided to attend then.” He gazed at me, his eyes becoming slightly more…stormy. “Call me Dimitri, I insist,” he rumbled low. Something in the pit of my stomach responded with anticipation and desire. “Dimitri then,” I said softly and I couldn’t deny the way his eyes darkened further after hearing me say his name. “I came to tell you that in five years, I am going to claim you as mine.” I think my jaw just fell and hit the floor. I couldn’t have heard him correctly. “What do you mean by…claim me?” I asked with hesitation. This was a highly unusual conversation and honestly one I didn’t think would ever happen. I was confident of myself sure but this man was a s*x god personified and there was no way he could be interested in me. Plus, I didn’t care too much for his arrogance. “Exactly what the definition of the word means Coletta.” Oh s**t, he used my first name in that sexy voice. I felt my thighs clench with need. “I’m going to claim you in every sense of the word. I will make you tremble beneath my touch. I will make it so that no other person will be able to make you feel the way I make you feel.” “Please do tell. What makes you think I feel anything for you?” I demanded, my voice breathier than I expected. I realized I was hanging on to every single word that came out of his mouth. Nothing else in the world mattered. “I see the way you squirm underneath my stare and I see how my voice affects your body. How you lean in, or tighten with anticipation.” His eyes were serious but he had an arrogant smirk and I wanted to smack it off of his face. “I know at this very moment, you’re wet for me princess. And in five years, I plan on spreading those pretty thighs of yours and tasting that wetness for myself. I plan on entering you inch by inch until I’m buried so deep inside of you, that you can’t tell where I begin and you end. And then after I’ve claimed your body, I will claim your heart and soul next.” I gaped at him in open shock. My breaths were coming fast and irratic. But I couldn’t deny any of his first assumptions. Because I was wet for him. I wanted all that he just said. I was f*****g crazy. No! He was f*****g crazy. “I think you have the order wrong Mr. Vlaskevitchi. It should be my heart you claim first, then my body and soul.” My attempt at being haughty failed miserably and I could tell by the wickedly sinful smile that graced his too sexy face. “It doesn’t matter the order. I can assure you, all of you is already mine.”
