“So when are you going to test me?”
Alvaro let out a heavy sigh. He hadn’t expected Bella to be this enthusiastic at all.
Honestly, Alvaro was very skeptical. He didn’t believe Bella’s claim that she wasn’t stupid at all. After all, everyone knew exactly what Bella’s reputation had been all along.
She always got F’s in school—she’d even nearly failed to graduate. How could she now be so confident as to challenge him on schoolwork?
Alvaro chuckled sarcastically.
“Not now, Bella. I’m really tired,” Alvaro replied softly.
Bella was silent for a moment, observing Alvaro’s face—which did indeed look exhausted—then nodded in understanding. “Okay, then get some rest. Good night, Al.”
