Episode 2: “He Was Never a Strangest
The moment his words hit me, my heart stopped.
*“I know what you did that night.”*
The room suddenly felt smaller… suffocating. My fingers trembled as I gripped the edge of the table.
“W-what are you talking about?” I forced out, even though deep down… I knew.
He didn’t blink.
Didn’t hesitate.
“You left him there,” he said quietly. “Bleeding. Alone.”
My chest tightened.
Flashbacks crashed into me the rain, the screams, the blood on my hands.
“I didn’t have a choice…” I whispered, my voice breaking. “You don’t understand.”
He leaned closer.
“I understand more than you think.”
Silence fell between us, heavy and dangerous.
“Who are you?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper now. “How do you know all this?”
For the first time… he smiled.
Not a warm smile.
Not a kind one.
A knowing smile.
“I was there.”
My breath caught.
“No… that’s impossible.”
“You didn’t see me,” he continued calmly. “You were too busy running away from your guilt.”
Tears filled my eyes.
“Stop… please stop.”
But he didn’t.
“You thought you buried it. You thought no one would ever find out.”
He paused… then leaned even closer.
“But secrets don’t stay hidden forever.”
A tear slipped down my cheek.
“Why are you doing this to me?” I cried softly.
His expression changed for a split second… something softer, almost human.
“Because…” he said slowly, “your secret is tied to mine.”
My heart skipped.
“What do you mean?”
Before he could answer—
My phone rang.
The sound shattered the moment.
Unknown number.
My hands shook as I picked it up.
“Hello?”
All I heard was breathing.
Then a voice.
Low. Cold.
“He’s lying to you.”
My eyes snapped back to the man in front of me.
“Who is this?” I whispered.
“You’re not safe with him.”
The call ended.
I froze.
The man across from me was watching me… carefully.
“Who was that?” he asked.
I swallowed hard.
“I… I don’t know.”
But something inside me screamed—
*This is bigger than I thought.*
Much bigger.
And for the first time…
I realized the truth.
The man who knows my secret…
Might not be the only one.
