My heart was pounding and my nerves fell numb, not being able to control emotions as I held her half burned body on my hands. A sudden pain swept in my heart and the more my eyes saw her state, the more severe the pain got. An abrupt realisation struck me holding her in my arms that she was my mate and that I valued that bond. Even though we weren’t that close as we should have been, the name bond between us was so strong that I too felt the pain she was going threw. Why did you do that to protect me?? Why did you had to take up the mission of saving my life as you had saved Dylan?? Why are you so complicated to be understood?
