From a different perspective, the two lightships appeared engaged in a strange, exotic dance. They dodged and weaved in intricate patterns, twirling and spinning around each other in graceful, long loops. Surrounded by gaseous clouds and glowing light, bright flashes jumped from one ship to the next creating a highly spectacular visual show.
Only on closer inspection could you see the gas was not natural. It sprayed from the damaged ships in fits and bursts, and the brightly colored light show, so beautiful from a distance, was laser fire spewing from both ships, hitting each other with computer-generated accuracy.
The heavily damaged larger ship spun in uneven, jagged circles. The smaller vessel vented gas more regularly and lost speed. It was uncle
