Driving out of the house, the brakes were suddenly slammed as the tyres screeched. I jerked forward, my hair covering my face as my heart almost jumped out of my chest.
“I’m so sorry Luna…” James pleaded and I slowly moved the hair out of my face.
“What happened?”
“Someone suddenly jumped in front of the car, I’m hoping I didn’t hit her.” He replied and I frowned.
“Let’s go check on her.” I replied as I stepped out of the car immediately. I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw a lady standing outside.
“Are you okay? I’m so sorry, please pardon me.” I pleaded as I grabbed her hand, trying to see if she was injured. She didn’t say a word, just shook her head.
