Alpha Lucas’s POV
The files I had to review were numerous, and staring at them made me feel unsure of my capabilities. Being an Alpha was one job, taking care of the pack and the responsibilities that came with it was another heavy job, one I disliked.
The intercom buzzed as I brought out a file. I groaned as I picked. “Yes, what’s the issue now?”
The guard on the other line replied with a hint of apology. “I’m sorry, Alpha, for the interruption.”
I cut him short, irritated already. “What’s it, Jon?”
“There’s Beta here to see you. The one you had a meeting with a few days ago?”
