Eva stirred as Aurora covered her with a blanket and kissed her lightly on the cheeks. She smiled at me as we walked out of the room, closing the door with a click.
“She will be fine. The doctor said if she had all the rest she needed, she would recover quickly.” I drew her close, sniffing her hair.
She relaxed, smiling. “I hope so. Thanks for everything.”
I nodded, “It’s my job. Aurora, we need to talk.”
