While sketching, I saw Calyx cleaning again. I thought he's going to annoy me but there he is, cleaning again. After a while, he's done cleaning the window and now he's mopping the floor. I stared at him for a minute and shook my head.

Did I really let him clean my shop?

Well, I think he's not a bad guy. And I can feel something towards him that I cannot tell. Maybe it's true that I trust him?

But why do I trust him easily? I have trust issues but why do I feel comfortable towards him?

"That's amazing,"

I was startled for a moment because of his sudden presence.

He smirked.

"T-Thanks," I replied.

He didn't say anything so I looked at him. I saw him staring at my hand while sketching the paper.

"So... What's your job?" I asked him.

"I work for a company," he said in a low baritone voice.

"What company?" I curiously asked.

"I forgot,"

My brows furrowed. "Are you kidding me?"

He chuckled.

"Are you now curious in my life?" I almost rolled my eyes at his question.

"I was just asking," I defended myself.

"Hmm,"

I was about to tell something when my iPad vibrated. I immediately click the notification and saw that the model from the Guess is coming today.

I gasped when I saw her message.

Alexandria Carter:

Hello! Can I visit your shop today? I want to see the clothes. Are they done?

I replied.

Me:

It's almost done and sure, you can visit anytime.

"Who's that?" Calyx asked.

"My client," I replied.

His lips twisted again and I just rolled my eyes at him. After sketching the clothes, I finalized the paper. I gather all the paper and put the cover on it.

"Do you need help?" he asked.

I shook my head.

Minutes later, Alexandria Carter arrived at my shop. I glanced at Calyx and he was staring at me intently.

"Hi!" she greeted.

I smiled at her.

"Hi! It's good to see you again," I greeted back.

"You too!" she chuckled and looked at Calyx.

Calyx was just standing meters away from me. He looked serious and dangerous. He was this serious when I first saw him!

"Who is he?" Alexandria asked while looking at Calyx.

Calyx started at me.

"H-He's my client," I said nervously.

"Oh! Okay," Alexandria smiled.

Seriously Kendra? Client? But who cares anyway!

Alexandria and I talked for a bit and I couldn't help but to stare at her because of her beautiful eyes.

While Calyx was just listening to our conversation. Sometimes his brows furrowed whenever I talk.

"Anyway, thank you for this. I will come back here again for another design." she giggled.

"My pleasure," I smiled.

Alexandria decided to left early because her manager called her. I waved and say my good-bye to her.

"Do I look like a client to you?" Calyx appeared and asked me.

I bite my lips.

"I-I don't know what to say," I said honestly.

"Really?" his brows furrowed.

"Yes,"

He smirked.

I pouted and left him there standing. My hands were hurting a little bit. I sighed and decided to sit on the couch. I rested my back while holding my hand.

Calyx then followed me and sit beside me. He looked at my hand.

"Does it hurt?" he asked.

I shook my head.

"I'm fine. I just want to rest," I said softly.

He stared at me for a minute.

"You can take a nap," he suggested.

I pouted my lips. Undecided of my decision but he smiled.

"I'll watch you sleep,"

He was looking at me intently.

And I feel comfortable around him. I sighed and nodded my head slowly as I closed my eyes and hugged myself, after that my mind went blank.

I woke up when I heard my phone ringing. I looked around and saw Calyx sleeping. I got up and grabbed my phone. I yawned and when I saw that it's already four pm. I read the caller's name and my eyes widened when I saw Maggie's name.

"Hello?"

"Ken! Where are you today?" Maggie asked.

"I'm at my shop, why?"

She then giggled.

"We're coming over!" she announced.

My eyes widened.

"H-Huh?"

She laughed.

"Chase and I are coming over, and we brought some food," she happily said.

Oh, my goodness!

"Mag-" I didn't finish my words when she suddenly dropped the call.

They're coming over!

I trembled a bit and looked at Calyx sleeping on the couch. Should I wake him? But I don't want to wake him! I slowly walked towards him and sighed. I decided to wake him up because If I don't wake him, they'll see him!

"Calyx," I softly called him.

He didn't respond. I could almost hear my heartbeat, pounding wildly.

"Calyx," I called him and that's when I decided to tapped his shoulder but before I could hold him, his eyes slowly opened.

Our face was one inch apart! My eyes widened and almost bumped my head at him. I retreated immediately because of the tension I was feeling but it was too late!

I step my foot and screamed when I almost fell.

I gasped when I felt Calyx's hand on my waist. He was looking at me with worried eyes. I couldn't breathe properly because our face is too close!

"Are you okay?" he asked, looking worried.

I didn't respond because my heart hurt! I think my ribcage is going to break!

Slowly, his eyes stared at my lips. I saw his adams apple moved and I almost can't breathe!

Damn it!

"Kendra?"

My eyes widened when I heard Maggie's voice. We both looked at the door and saw Maggie and Chase watching us.

"M-Maggie..."

I quickly stood up properly and looked at the two of them. Calyx was behind me, staring at them too. We were so close and I could almost feel his body behind me.

Chase was looking at me, then Calyx.

"Oh my! Did we disturb you?" Maggie asked and looked at me.

I shook my head immediately.

"N-No, of course not!" I was stuttering.

Damn it!

Chase is now staring at me. He narrowed his eyes and looked at Calyx, again.

I saw Calyx smiled at them.

So, he's also friendly huh?

"Who is he?" Maggie asked and looked at the man beside me.

Damn it! I heard Calyx groaned and my heart is hurting like hell again!

"U-Uhh... I-I... U-hmm," I didn't know what to say!

There's no way I'm going to tell them he's my client because he's definitely not a client!

Maggie was waiting for my answer and Chase brows shot up. Before I could say something, Calyx handed his hand.

"I'm Calyx," he introduced his self.

Maggie smiled at him.

"I'm Maggie, Kendra's best friend. And this is Chase, my fiancé."

They exchange hands while I'm here, nervous and scared! Chase didn't accept Calyx's hand, and I was confused. Is he bitter?

"So, are you Kendra's client?" Maggie asked curiously.

Calyx groaned.

I almost laugh. He was mistaken as a client again! I can't help but to stifle a smile and they immediately saw it!
