The following morning, Charlie wasn’t dressed in costume, for which he was grateful because kissing her with paint on her face had been gross. But she also wasn’t dressed like a hacker in disguise. She wore a blazer over her dark jeans, and instead of her usual sneakers, she wore a pair of heels. Low heels, so she could maneuver, but still sexy. “Hi.” He greeted her with a kiss, and he was happy that she returned the affection. “I figured we could just grab a coffee and a doughnut at the counter. I have a list of people I want to see today.” She led the way to the coffee kiosk outside the hotel’s restaurant.
