Chapter 19: A Friendly Visit“Well, hello there,” Cody said to two squirrels that had poked their noses into his doorway.
They gave Cody a quick glance, then ran off to be replaced by Luna.
“Hi, Cody,” Luna said, “looks like I wasn’t your first visitor of the day.”
“No,” Cody said and smiled, then rested the end of the headboard he’d gotten loose on the ground.
“I came by to see how you were doing,” Luna said, then raised her hands to show she wore work gloves. “I’m also ready to help where I can.”
Cody noticed that Luna wore denim shorts, sneakers, and a T-shirt—she really was ready for work.
“If you can hold the end of this headboard up it’ll make it easier for me to unscrew the other side,” Cody said.
