Chapter 35: The DayThe day finally came for Elvira and Luna to put their plan into action. Jace paced in the kitchen, waiting for Cody to come out of his room, and Rusty watched him.
“I know, buddy,” Jace said to Rusty. “Your daddy’s an old fool. Cody works hard, he needs to meet someone, or at least go out and have fun.”
“This isn’t fun, it’s work,” Cody said from around the corner.
When he came into view, Jace’s mouth hung open. Cody’s tight jeans hugged his behind, which jutted out to perfection because of the cowboy boots he wore. He also had on a checkered shirt and his dad’s cowboy hat.
“Nice,” Jace said. “You won’t be home tonight.”
“Oh, yes, I will.”
