Julian Thorne didn't move for a long moment. He just stared at the stack of papers in Rex’s hand. The glass-and-steel fortress felt like it was shrinking around him. "You won't get far with those," Julian finally hissed, his voice dropping low. "Those papers prove nothing to a judge. They're copies. And even if they were real, who do you think owns the judges in this city?" Rex tightened his grip on the documents. "We don't need a judge yet, Julian. We just need the press."
