Rex pulled Luna into the doorway of an abandoned bookshop. They flattened against the cold brick wall, watching the huge guard by the black car. The man was still looking toward the Clock Tower plaza, waiting for Marcus to move. "He's watching," Luna whispered, "Julian didn't want the drive. He wanted to catch Marcus getting the drive. He knew the whole plan." Rex's mind raced. Julian had set two traps: the ambush at the exchange location, and this spot to catch the reporter. "We can't call Marcus," Rex said, his eyes scanning the street. "The guard will hear the phone. We need a distraction. A big, loud distraction." Rex saw a stack of wooden pallets and two overflowing metal dumpsters across the street. "Stay here," Rex instructed. Luna grabbed his jacket. "No! What are you doing?"
