Sarah couldn't hold her joy; she was looking at how the moon had suddenly changed. “I was thinking the moon has no night,” Sarah said. “I told you all that the moon has darkness too; now, we can see things by ourselves. Raphael, are the candles still intact?” Alfred said. “Yes, boss,” Raphael said. “Good; please, give everyone a stick of candle,” Alfred said. “Alright, boss,” Raphael said and gave candles to all the astronauts. Charles kindled the candles with matchsticks and the astronauts continued their adventure to the half moon. Soon, the astronauts got to the moon's mountains. “Oh my God!! These mountains are strange. I didn’t know the moon had mountains,” Raphael said. “I read in a documentary that the moon has mountains and highlands,” Smith said. “Yeah, I read that too. The moon's mountains and highlands are called terrae,” Alfred said. “The moon is an amazing place to be,” Sarah said. “Yes, it is,” the other astronauts said. “Brown, you are not talking; what’s wrong?” Charles said. “I am very tired, boss,” Brown said. “C’mon, Brown; we are almost there,” Alfred said. “Sorry, Brown; do you want some silkworm eggs?” Sarah said. “No!! I am tired of eating silkworm eggs,” Brown said. “In that case, exercise a little patience. We shall get to the half moon soon,” Alfred said. “How does that solve my predicament, boss?” Brown said. “Many ways, Brown. The Lord of the Moon is benevolent enough; he will give us something to eat,” Alfred said. “How sure are you?” Brown said. “No question, Brown; Alfred has talked. I think we have to clamber on,” Smith said. “Yes, people,” Sarah said, and the astronauts moved on. The astronauts climbed the mountains one after the other. Suddenly, Raphael slipped and fell into a deep valley of about 592km in length. “Raphael!!” the astronauts shouted with tears. “Wait!! while I move down to rescue him!!” Alfred said. Alfred climbed down to the valley and saw Raphael lying in the pool of his blood. In pain, Alfred shouted, “ Oh no!!!” Alfred's voice was echoed and the other astronauts, who were on the mountain, became very scared. “I hope nothing happens to Raphael,” Sarah said with a quavering voice. “Nothing will happen to him,” Smith said. Alfred left the dead body of Raphael and climbed the mountain back to meet the other Astronauts. The reaction on Alfred’s face showed that something had happened. “Where is Raphael?” Brown said with curiosity. “He has passed on!!” Alfred said in euphemism. “Nooo!!!” Sarah shouted and fell down. “Calm down, Sarah; we will be fine,” Alfred said. “So Raphael is gone? Oh no!!” Smith said. “He didn’t promise to leave us this soon; we are already at the zenith of the adventure,” Brown said with a teary voice. “It’s okay, people. Our delight is to see the Lord of the Moon,” Alfred said. “ The United States of America caused this; Raphael!!” Sarah said with tears on her face. “Don’t put the blame on anyone, Sarah. We are on a journey to save our beloved states and country. C'mon people, we are Victors,” Alfred said. “How about Raphael's remains?” Smith said. “We can’t carry it back to the earth; we would rather leave it on the moon,” Alfred said. “This is bad news” Smith said. “Guys, let’s console ourselves here; later we shall continue on the adventure to the half moon,” Alfred said.
