Episode 5 – Hidden Feelings
Amara couldn’t stop thinking about the mysterious messages, the note, and Daniel’s intense gaze. Something about him was comforting, yet terrifying.
Later that evening, she stayed behind to finish some files. The office was dimly lit, the hum of the air conditioning the only sound. She felt someone behind her before she could turn—Daniel.
“You’re working late again,” he said softly. His presence was so close, she could feel the warmth radiating from him.
“I… I needed to finish this,” she whispered, trying to focus on the papers in front of her.
He moved closer, and she could see the conflict in his eyes. “Amara… I need to tell you something,” he began, his voice low.
Her heart skipped. “What is it?”
Before he could answer, the lights flickered, and the office door creaked open by itself. Amara’s breath caught in her throat. Someone—or something—was inside the building.
Daniel stepped protectively in front of her, his hand brushing hers again. “Stay behind me,” he said firmly.
Her heart raced, but something else stirred inside her… a feeling she couldn’t deny. She trusted him, more than anyone else, even if the secrets around them were dangerous.
And just as the shadow in the hall shifted closer, Daniel’s lips brushed hers in a sudden, protective kiss.
Amara froze. Her body, mind, and heart were caught between fear and desire, and one thought ran through her head: this was just the beginning.
