Aspen POV
“Challenge Accepted.” I couldn't help but feel immense regret the minute I blurted out those words. A sly and naughty smirk graced his lips. He knew how great my ego was and decided to use that to his favor by challenging me. I bit down my lower lip blaming myself for being so stupid to fall for his perfectly molded trap.
But then a light bulb flickered in my head and I wore a victorious smile. Even though I had blurted out my answers out earlier without thinking, I had a perfect counter word to erase all of this tango dancing drama.
“Did you just smirk right now Farfallina?” He asked in a low sultry tone and as if the lights were a paid actor, they shone directly on his face and left the rest of us in the darkness.
“Yes I did and what the heck did you just call me?” I furro
