Kiara's POV
“Well, well, well,” Lexi rolled her eyes as soon as I came to sit beside her. “if it isn't little Mrs McAllister,” she added, shooting me a playful glare “Thought you're too good for us now. Shouldn't you be off at your new boyfriend's table?”
I rolled my eyes, mirroring her expression as I sat beside her and Malia. Setting my tray on the table, I whirled my gaze over to where Aiden sat…
The far end of the lunch room…
Time flies, doesn't it?
About three weeks ago, he normally sat alone by himself…
But now…?
He had about three guys around him…
The members of his new pack, at least from what he told me…
I knew them of course…
At least their names…
Well, first of all, there was Nick, his first beta. Nick was the werewolf we had seen back then, the one that had attacked us back when we were at the mountains that time.
Some time after that incident, Aiden had recruited him and he had apparently enrolled in our school too…
Also, he had long since apologized for that incident, saying that he had not really been in the right frame of mind at the time..
Anyway, long story short, I forgave him and we've been cool ever since…
As for the other two guys though, Drew and Zane were their names. I didn't really know that much about them though….
I only knew that they were twins and that they were apparently close to Aiden…
Maybe they were from his previous pack…?
I wasn't really sure…
“She doesn't have to if she doesn't want to…” Malia’s voice dragged by back to my table as I turned to watch her giving Lexi that usual glare. “How are things going with Aiden?” Malia shifted her gaze to me.
“Slowly…” I replied absentmindedly, reaching my fork into my plate to let the contents into my mouth.
“I see…” Malia seemed to have a satisfied smile on her face. “He seems like a nice guy, I'm really happy for you two.”
“Thanks.” I returned her smile as I looked at her. There were traces of a certain sadness around her eyes as I looked into them…
Well, I couldn't exactly blame her…
Malia had pretty much gone through one of the worst breakups I've seen in… well, one of the worst breakups I've seen…
Both Lexi and I were aware of how her last relationship ended…
It happened back when we were in highschool…
Where she had walked in on her then boyfriend, Dalton, who she had been dating for over 4 years at the time, kissing the new girl Emma, the freshman girl Malia had helped find her footing when she was still new and inexperienced…
The girl had turned around and stabbed her in the back…
Worse, when she confronted Dalton about it, he pretty much acted like he did not know who she was…
The guy was a jerk…
And apparently he and Emma became a couple sometime after…
Anyway, Malia was inconsolable for weeks, and honestly, she’s still very much scarred from that incident…
That incident had pretty much made her done with dating, and guys, for good..
We were both hoping for her to fully heal tho…
“Still,” Lexi shoved herself back into the conversation, interrupting the moment between Malia and myself ”you managed to bag the hottest guy on campus on your first attempt.” She had a proud smirk on her face
“I have to say Kiki, I am… Wow.“ She stabbed into her plate, letting the contents into her mouth without a care in the world as she turned to face me again.
“So, have you guys done it yet?” The next question came completely out of nowhere…
I raised an eyebrow, clearly confused. “Done… what?”
“Y'know…” Lexi shrugged, then she made a circle with her left hand, inserting her right finger into it as she whispered “it…”
And then it clicked…
I froze, an instant redness creeping into my face.
“Lexi! That's a sensitive topic.” Luckily Malia came to my rescue… Again…
“I'm just saying.” Lexi rolled her eyes, raising her hands. “You and Aiden have been together for at least two weeks now, yet I've never seen you guys kiss even once.” She leaned in closer, a naughty smirk spread across her face. “Do you guys do it behind closed doors?”
“Uhh…” I stuttered, scratching my head as I was clearly at a loss for words
She was right…
Even though we were now officially dating, I had never even as much as kissed Aiden even once…
Why, you might ask…?
Well, there's two reasons actually…
The first being that Aiden himself wanted to take things surprisingly slowly…
And the second…
Well…
I'm like… really shy… when it comes to stuff like that…
I mean, I've never even had a boyfriend up until now either, Aiden was my first…
Or at least he was going to be…
“I could even give you pointers if you want.” Lexi came in with another ‘generous’ offer.
What were we even talking about again…?
“Yknow…” Her naughty smirk grew even wider as she leaned in even closer. “On what a guy might like and what you shou–”
“Alexandria Monroe!!” Malia had to intervene once again before the brain cell left the room completely. She shot Lexi a glare as Lexi resigned to her chair, a visible pout was clearly on her face
“We'll talk later..” Lexi mouthed in my direction, stealing a wink at me as she tilted her head so that Malia would not see her..
Or hear her…
Malia obviously heard and saw her….
I just rolled my eyes at my friends as I shifted my gaze back to my food. My mind had already left the conversation as I was trying my best to focus on my food.
Ding!
My phone, which was beside me buzzed slightly as the screen came on…
I shifted my gaze to my phone screen, and froze when I saw the words written on it…
Madame Delia's place…
Wait, was it today…?
I had completely forgotten…
And I had already invited Aiden over tonight…
Oh no…
