“Remember that woman you met when you visited me in Bonneau?” I say to my sister.
“The one who talked our ear off?” Madeleine smirks.
“Olivia.” I’ve seen my sister a few times since I got back, but this is the first time I’m addressing the topic of Olivia.
“What about her?”
“I’ve invited her to stay with me for a long weekend.”
Madeleine quirks up her perfectly sculpted eyebrows, but she doesn’t say anything. Why would she? She doesn’t know what Olivia means to me. To her, Liv is this weird woman she saw walking around our neighbourhood in Bonneau. How easily Olivia could have just been that to me as well.
