CHAPTER 15
Taj sat behind the defense table with Jude, Bren, and Wiz. The rest of the D.O.A was in position, in case things went in a bad direction. Rylee and Mallard were already seated, and the prosecutor was sitting on his side with two other lawyers. Things were getting ready to begin and Taj just hoped that they went like they had planned.
“All rise. The Honorable Judge Mack, presiding.” The courthouse bailiff announced.
Everyone stood up as Judge Mack walked into the courtroom. He banged his gavel, and took his chair, “Be seated, this court is now in session.”
Judge Mack opened his file, saying, “Mr. Wilson is on trial for second degree murder of Kendall Johnson. Are both parties ready?”
The Prosecutor rose, “Prosecution ready, Sir.”
