Bethel's Pov:
"What happened to him?" She yelled on the phone, her eyes fixed with angst.
Oh, God! What's wrong?
I looked at her keenly, wishing I could hear the person from the other line.
"Are...Are you sure? Where's he?
"Can I talk to him?
"O...Okay. Just make sure he gets here safely.
"Alright".
She ended the call and placed her hand on her chest, taking in a deep breath.
"Mum, what happened?" I asked as she fell back on the couch.
"It's Ryan", she replied.
"He was almost shot! But one of his guards was fast enough to see the sniper at the top of the building and he took the bullet for him instead. Right now, He's dead".
"What?" I shrieked.
"The guard is dead??"
"Yes, Bethel. And it scares me to know Ryan would've been the one dead if he hadn't taken the bullet for him."
