Chapter 36

2603 Words

Hospitals always scare me. But not as much as a trip to the dentist. My pediatric dentist had no regard for pain killers, that's for sure. He's basically the cause of my nightmares when I was three. Sitting on a hospital bed, I'm holding an ice pack on top of my right rib while waiting for a nurse to tend to me after doing an MRI roughly an hour ago, at the demand of Beck. I felt fine to say the least. That is if I don't mind the scorching pain on my side.  They were short-staffed today, despite the hospital being at minimum capacity. Well, that's what I get for picking one of the most shittiest town there is on the map with a population of less than five thousand. Elwoods Vicinity, where schools lacked security and people lacked morality. It seemed like a good idea. It was a good idea.
