My phone rings on top of the table and my feet immediately scramble to get a hold of it before the ringtone ends. Mal doesn't take long on the phone as much as he used to, just dials in to check how me and Frank were doing. He kept asking me about my rib every time to which my answer always goes along the lines of "I'm fine." With the impending conversation Beck and I have yet to schedule, I was anything but a jittering mess. Knowing Beck was at the Slammer is the only thing stopping my feet from itching to head next door. Besides, if I called him first he probably wouldn't have answered me like the thousand times before. Mal had his own schedule and apparently, talking to his sister wasn't on the priority list.
