Prologue - Reconnecting

    Jane's POV:

Another night of sitting on the couch while Andrew plays video games and works on his computer. As I sat on my computer, bored out of my mind, scrolling social media, I wondered how things could have changed so much over the past five years.

    Josh's POV: 

I sat on my computer watching the various chat boxes light up across my screen. It seemed that everyone wanted to hang out before I left for basic training in a few days time. Victoria had convinced me to go out for a night at the bars and blow off some stream, it should be fun, we always had a great time hanging out in high school and college. Just as I was about to close my computer and get ready to get ready, a new chat box appeared. 

Jane: Hey Josh! I see you are in town for a few days, any chance you would want to get together and catch up?

Josh: Jane?! I would love the chance to catch up, I am free Thursday for lunch.

Jane: That is perfect, how about 11? Tokyo Palace? 

Josh: Works for me, you still dating Andrew?

Jane: Yep, it will just be me at lunch though, hope that is okay.

Josh: No problem, I've got to run, see you Thursday.

As I got cleaned up and ready to go out, I couldn't help but think, whoa, Jane, the one who got away... she has been with Andrew for nearly five years, I shouldn't get my hopes up, but a guy can dream, can't he?
