Alexa

When Amy was young and living in Crescent Falls Pack:

Amy and Lila were sitting by a table up on the third floor of the packhouse, they could get more quiet time there as only the elites could be up there. It had rooms for the beta family and the gamma, the gamma did not have a family so he lived by himself. The alpha and his family lived on the fourth floor, Lila was the alpha’s only daughter, so they could spend time on the fourth floor. But the third floor had a seating area much more suited for homework, so they sat there often working on things together. Lila enjoyed it a lot as Amy was an excellent student. Kemper had started to do his homework at the same time as Lila and Amy, he usually did them much later in the evening with Jonas, but he changes his plans around so he could sit with the girls. Jonas hated the fact that he sat with them and not him, they used to be an inseparable duo. He could easily join them but he didn’t like spending time with Amy. With that Kemper’s grades had gone up lately, he had started to put in more effort in school work, and the alpha and luna liked the change. 

Jonas's grades however fell a bit as he didn’t have his best friend to help him with homework. The beta and his mate were concerned with this recent development and had hired a tutor to help him. And of course, they had hired the biggest nerd in his class, and at the same time as the other would do their homework. So it was a triple-negative for him, he had to spend time with Amy, he had his best friend seeing that he needed a tutor and he had to spend time with the most boring person in the whole world, Alexa. She was sweet, nice, polite, smart, and just any adult’s perfect picture of a daughter, all the grown up’s loved her. She had a small group of friends, she was not bullied, she was just so boring. She always talked about school stuff, never about anything cool, she was not interested in boys or gossip, she did not cheer. She didn’t like to talk about fighting stances or moves even though she was decent in practice, and she had freckles…. FRECKLES! It made all the adults awww over her cuteness, and it made Jonas want to hurl.

Everyone was getting along so well, even Alexa started to get along with Amy and Lila. Kemper smiled and reveled in the picture-perfect scene, his little sister got a new friend. Their adopted human was acclimating well and his grades were finally good. Jonas was sitting there brooding and trying actively to ignore Alexa, but she was persistent. She did not have any interest in pack socialites and was not impressed by the beta’s son status, so she was relentless and kept going. He was going to do his homework, and she was not giving the answers to him, he looked like he was in hell as he dragged himself through the tutoring. Alexa would give her usual speeches about how she was proud of him for the smallest achievements. She knew her job and did it well, it also paid well. Jonas could get through most of the tutoring by being polite enough, but it ended when the girls started talking about mates. Kemper would hide a smirk as his little sister would fawn over a young warrior or daydream of an alpha’s son falling in love with her. Neither Amy nor Alexa had many daydreams about boys, so they would snigger at Lila as she elaborated about her little fairytale. Jonas would use his sharp tongue to tease the girls, when it was talking about mates he could be mean to them. Lila did not let it bring her down and would bark back at him, Amy didn’t care as she didn’t think she would have a mate. And Alexa was way too busy being a perfect student that she didn’t have much thought on mates. 

After Jonas had been particularly meant in his comments Lila would quip back at him, “what about you Jonas? You seem to pine after the cheerleader, do you think she is your mate?” 

She was teasing him, everyone knew he had a thing for the cheerleader. Jonas blushed and shot her daggers while Alexa giggled. 

Then he looked at Alexa with disapproval for giggling at him, “what’s so funny Alexa? Everyone knows you are hung up on Kemper.” 

Everyone got quiet, as they absorbed what Jonas was accusing her of. Kemper got a bit blushed, he knew that a lot of the younger females liked him, he was the future alpha and a catch. Lila and Amy did not know where Jonas was going with this and kept their mouth shut. 

But Alexa took it cool and without hesitation, she leaned forward and placed a hand gently on his knee. “But Jonas, I only have eyes for you.” 

She batted her eyelashes as made a pouty mouth towards him like she was kissing, Jonas immediately turned red and had no come back to that. Amy and Lila both erupted into laughs as Alexa had finally shut him up, she grinned as she knew she won that little fight and winked at Jonas. He blushed even more, not because he thought she liked him, he knew very well she didn’t, but because he lost to boring, school-smart, and perfect little girl Alexa. He never hated her more and he cursed under his breath as he continued his homework, he never finished them so fast, and he did it flawlessly. He knew that if he did anything wrong she would make him redo it. From that day on Jonas would not tease Lila nor Alexa about mates or who their crushes were.
