Morgan AFTER FAILING to get Knight’s attention, I wandered farther upward toward the roof of the castle. Just as the ground had tilted for me to walk onto the wall, it righted itself as I approached the roof, allowing me to transition back to a normal gravitational pull. From up high, I admired the vast forest and could see the town of Corbenic in the distance. As I gazed out at the horizon, daylight faded to darkness at an unnatural rate, and the sun morphed into a brilliant full moon. I had never seen anything like it. My mind bent and stretched to adapt to the parameters of the reality I was experiencing. How was I supposed to know where to look or what to do in a world with unknown rules?
