Star His kisses were soft and I wanted more. I opened my mouth to explore his, and he freely obliged. My heart rate shot sky-high again, but this time not because I was panicking. Out of breath, we pulled away from each other and his hands were still on my ass holding me up, my arms were around his neck, holding on. “I taste syrup and bacon.” I smiled at him. “Good girl.” He gave me a chaste kiss. “Let’s get you out of here before I ravage you.” He put me down and took my hand. One left and two rights, and we were out of the maize. “How … How did you do that?” I looked wide-eyed at him. “Wolf senses.” He said, matter-of-factually. “Where would you like to go next?” He snaked his arm around my waist, which gave me a bit of a fright. He was about to pull away when I grabbed hold of his hand and pulled it back. I liked him close to me. I wasn’t sure about having that thing near me yet, but I liked having him close to me. “I need to check in and see if there is any news from Alpha.” I said, more in a question than a sentence. “Yes, that is a good idea. I would also like to know how things are going.” We walked with his hand around my waist, until we reached a tree line indicating the end of the city boundaries. “Hang back here, okay?” I looked a bit at lost, but did what he asked. Not long after, a big gray wolf appeared from behind the tree where he disappeared. His wolf was beautiful! His green eyes asked me so many questions. “Oh, wow Luc. I don’t know what to say.” He moved closer, and I stood my ground, not wanting to scare him. He walked up to me, rubbing his fur against my abdomen and I couldn’t help but run my hand through it. He bent down, and I knew by now that he wanted me to climb on his back. We could get to Lorelei’s house faster that way. Riding on his back was an incredible experience. I had ridden on the backs of wolves before, when necessary, but with him my body was vibrating with electricity. We reached Lorelei and Patrick’s in record time. Luc let me down and left to shift behind some trees, returning all dressed and smiling from ear to ear. He slipped his arm around my waist again, as if it was the most normal thing in the world, and we walked into the house. Lorelei and Patrick’s house had become the headquarters since Giselle had become this beautiful Light creature. She was so shiny and received full attention from all of us when she spoke. Leo had just taken the last step down the staircase, and we walked inside holding hands. He gave us one look and grinned. “Mates?” He co.cked his head to one side. “Yip, I hope so, she hasn’t said yes … Yet?” Luc put in as an afterthought. Leo shook his hand. “I am sure she will.” He winked at me and gave me one of his bear hugs. Luc growled and Leo backed off. “Okay, chill dude, I just gave her a hug of congratulations.” He laughed at Luc. “We came to find out if there is any news from the packs?” I broke the tension between them. “Yes, Patrick actually called me downstairs just now. Giselle is upstairs resting, so I thought I would catch up on pack matters.” He looked serious, which made me anxious again. Luc lifted my chin with his index finger, giving me a kiss. “Oh, get a room you two!” Lorelei walked down the passage, making both of us blush. “Come let me give the lot of you some coffee.” She rolled her eyes as she turned around. “These young people who live on caffeine. I will never understand.” Mumbling as we followed her into the kitchen. “Hey you all.” Patrick stood up from his favourite seat at the kitchen table, shook hands with the guys and hugged me, earning himself an instant growl. “Oh, mates, I see.” He said, looking at Lorelei. “Yip, he stole her from me yesterday and took off with her.” She pretended to look disgusted. “Can we please get the news from the packs?” Leo asked Patrick. “Things seem to be going really well, Leo. The messenger arrived late last night with the news. He should be joining us any minute now. He left for a run an hour ago,” Patrick explained. “Sit down the lot of you, so I can feed you.” Luc and I protested after the big breakfast we had, but as usual Lorelei had pudding to bribe us with. While we were discussing Giselle’s health and what was happening on the witch side, the messenger returned. “My apologies, Leo, I didn’t know you would be awake, with Giselle being sick and all.” He was panting, so he must have been pushing himself. Messengers usually did that. “That is fine Michael. Go take a shower quickly and come tell us what is happening.” Mike nodded and ran up the stairs. We finished the pudding and I felt so stuffed. I could have sworn I was pregnant with all that food in my tummy. Luc sat beside me, snaking his arm around my waist again when Mike walked in. “Spit it out.” Leo demanded, not willing to wait a second longer. “Give the boy a chance to at least take a sip of water!” Lorelei reprimanded Leo. “It’s fine Lorelei, I will have coffee if you don’t mind. I am glad to see all of you. Let’s get down to business first. Alpha is doing awesome. She is kind, strong, caring and in charge of every movement. She sent me to arrange with Lorelei and Patrick to start with preparations. We have five packs on their way. Five new packs will be joining the Shadow pack. They are so thankful to be freed from King William and his ways.” Leo and Luc tried high-fiving over my head and nearly knocked me out. “So, will they be returning?” Leo frowned. “Yes,” Mike confirmed. “But they haven’t been to all the packs yet.” “What? How is that possible?” Luc looked stunned. “Alpha wants to come and settle the new members first before going out to the others. We are here as guests, and she needs to speak to Giselle before we overrun the homelands.” Mike explained. “I guess it makes sense, but what I can’t understand is that so many packs fear William so. Did nobody ever stand up to him?” Silence fell throughout the room after Luc’s question. “I need to check on Giselle. We have a meeting with the Council. Keep me updated please Mike.” Leo excused himself from the conversation. We thanked Lorelei for the treats and coffee, and she complained about our short visit as usual. We walked outside and Luc shifted. He walked up to me, rubbed his fur against my body and gave me that electric spark again. It must have been static electricity because of his fur. I rubbed him behind his ear, wondering how he would take it, and reacted when he returned to being human, smiling from ear to ear. I climbed on his back when he bent down. We reached the seeker's house again soon. I jumped off before he could even think about it, waiting for him to go behind a tree and change. The feeling between us was making my pants wet again, and I didn’t want him to think I was peeing all over him. He didn’t move towards the tree, but indicated that I was to follow him. He walked into the house of the seekers as if nothing had changed, and they didn’t even blink at him. This was all so strange to me. I had just gotten used to life with the pack, when we were forced to move here for goddess knows how long. Then I had to get used to life with warriors, witches and seekers of the truth, Giselle being a Light of some sort, Leo being a Protector of some sort and a talking book floating in and out always near them! I thought someone would pinch me just to make sure I was not dreaming. I pinched my arm, only causing a blue bruise. “OW.” Luc turned his big gray furry butt around to look at me. He sniffed me from bottom to top, found the blue mark, and softly growled at me before licking it. He shoved me in front of him, and we walked the three steps to our room door and went inside. I closed the door behind us, and he walked to the bathroom. He returned wearing only a towel again. “I forgot my clothes at Lorelei’s house. Why did you hurt yourself like that?” He sounded irritated. “I … Hum … Well, you see it’s like this, I felt like all of this was a dream, so I pinched myself to see if I would wake up.” I sounded more and more like a little girl around this man! I was turning into one of those bubble heads at the fancy parties that I always made fun of! “A dream? Star of mine, being with you has been my wish for a long time. There is no need for you to think it is a dream?” He walked up to me, bent his head down to kiss me softly. I put my arms around his neck again, and stood on the tip of my toes. He was so tall compared to me. He picked me up and held me by my ass again, kissing me with a hunger I felt. I couldn’t stop. He carried me to the bed and put me down on my back. “Are you sure this is what you want, Star of mine?” I nodded. “Stop me the second you feel uncomfortable, okay?” He said with fear in his eyes. He lay down beside me still wearing his towel, and unclipped one hook on my jumpsuit. Both my nip.ples were erect, showing clearly through my tank top. He hummed, putting one hand underneath my shirt. “No bra?” He looked surprised and I nodded, smiling. “Don’t need one so much, I think.” I was babbling, and he kissed me while he rolled my nip.ple between his fingers. He pulled away, giving both of us a chance to take a breath, and lifted my tank-top before sucking on my other breast. I pulled up both my legs and pinched them together. I was seriously going to wee my pants! It was all wet and aching down there! He pulled at my top and I sat up, so he could pull it off. He hummed again and my nip.ples grew harder when he looked at them. “Perfect, I can see why you don’t need a bra, Star of mine.” He smiled. “How old are you Luc?” I had to know. He was way too experienced to not have done this before! “I am twenty-eight, and you?” Strange question to be asking right at this minute I know, but I had to know. “Nineteen.” I blushed. “Star, please tell me if this is your first time?” He looked me in the eyes with a question almost as intense as asking me to be his mate. “It is my first. I haven’t before.” I looked down feeling as if I was a failure in some way. Maybe he wanted someone, more … More experienced. I was about to get out of bed when he grabbed me and pulled me back into his embrace. Smiling from ear to ear. “All mine?” He tilted his head to one side. “Never been touched?” He was still smiling. “My first kiss was when you kissed me after the battle, Luc.” I blushed. He looked like the cat that had just found the cream! “What? Have I done something wrong? Should I leave?” I felt panic rise in my throat. “No Star of mine, you have just made me the happiest man alive.” He smiled at me with such love in his eyes.
