Chapter 1

1005 Words
The sky above the Silver Moon Pack was unusually crimson today. But for Aria Lewis, that crimson sky was not a sign of blessing—it was the grave of her dreams. Aria stood in front of her cracked mirror, staring at her reflection. Her pale skin, frail body, and the dark circles beneath her eyes—this was her identity. The most neglected omega in the pack. While every other werewolf found their wolf at the age of eighteen, Aria had reached twenty without ever hearing the growl of a wolf inside her. She was a wolfless werewolf, a cursed omega. "Why aren't you ready yet, you cursed girl?" Aria flinched at the harsh scream. Her mother, Elena Lewis, entered the room. In her hands was an expensive and luxurious white wedding gown. But there was no affection in her eyes, only intense hatred. "Mom, I won't marry him. You know Alpha Xavier is a monster. He killed his previous three mates. You're pushing me to my death just to save Sophia?" Aria's voice broke with tears. Elena stepped forward and slapped Aria hard across the face. "Shut up! Sophia is the future of our pack. She carries a rare Golden Wolf inside her. If she goes to that cursed Alpha Xavier, our entire bloodline will be destroyed. But you? You don't even have a wolf. Whether you live or die makes no difference to anyone. Tonight, you will go in Sophia's place as the bride. That is the Alpha's command." Aria fell to the floor. Her tears rolled onto the dusty ground. She knew she had no value in this family. Her younger sister Sophia was everyone's favorite because she was powerful. And Aria was nothing more than the servant of the house. Just then, Sophia entered the room. She was wearing an expensive silk dress, with a cruel smile on her lips. "Don't cry, sister. You always wanted to live in a grand palace, didn't you? Tonight you'll go to Alpha Xavier's palace. Maybe he won't kill you if you become a good servant." Sophia bent down and whispered into Aria's ear. "You know, sister? I'm the one who told Xavier that I'm very beautiful. When he sees you and realizes you're not me, his anger will be worth watching. I hope you don't come back alive." Aria saw deep hatred in Sophia's eyes. She realized that she wasn't just being sent in Sophia's place—she was being carefully pushed toward death. "No! I won't go!" Aria screamed and ran toward the window, trying to escape. But within a second, her father, the Pack's Beta, Marcus Lewis, caught her. Using his werewolf strength, he twisted both of Aria's arms behind her back. "You have to go, Aria. For the peace of our pack, you must make this sacrifice." He injected something into Aria's neck. Aria felt her entire body growing numb. The world before her eyes became blurry. The last thing she saw was Sophia and her mother smiling at her cruelly. When Aria regained consciousness, she realized she was inside a moving car. Her entire body felt heavy. She couldn't move. She looked down and saw herself dressed in the expensive wedding gown, wearing expensive makeup, with a long veil covering her face. The car finally came to a stop. This was not the Silver Moon Pack. This was the Black Forest Pack—the territory of the city's most terrifying and powerful Alpha, Xavier. The air here was heavy, and deathly silence surrounded the place. Four stern-looking bodyguards helped her out of the car. None of them spoke a single word. Aria was dragged into a massive, dark mansion. Every wall of the mansion seemed to tell a history written in blood. She was taken into a huge hall. There were no guests, no lights. Only one tall man stood in the middle of the hall. From his scent alone, Aria could tell that he was an ancient and powerful Alpha. His scent was a strange mixture of sandalwood and blood. Alpha Xavier. Xavier had his back turned toward Aria. His voice was as deep as the rumble of thunder. "So, Sophia Lewis... you came after all? I thought you would try to run away." Aria wanted to speak, but because of the effect of the injection, no sound came out of her throat. Xavier turned around. Even in the darkness, his gray eyes burned like fire. He slowly walked toward Aria. She trembled in fear. Xavier removed the expensive gloves from his hands and pulled away Aria's veil with one swift motion. Aria closed her eyes. She thought this would be the moment of her death. But Xavier grabbed her face tightly. "You're very beautiful, Sophia," Xavier said, his warm breath brushing against Aria's ear. "But the fear in your eyes... it pleases me. I've heard you're a very arrogant wolf. Tonight, I'll crush every bit of that pride." Aria realized that Xavier had been drinking heavily. He couldn't recognize her. Xavier lifted Aria into his arms in one swift motion. She struggled desperately, but she was nothing against the strength of an Alpha wolf. Xavier carried her into his enormous bedroom. The door slammed shut behind them. The only source of light in the room was the moonlight streaming through the window. It was a full moon—the night when a wolf's blood boiled with power. Xavier threw Aria onto the bed. As he removed his shirt, he walked toward her. "From today onward, you are my Luna. But remember, you are here only to satisfy my physical desires. Never expect to receive my love." Aria burst into tears. She wanted to say, "I'm not Sophia! Please let me go!" But her words dissolved into sobs. That cursed night began. Xavier pounced on Aria. There was no tenderness in his touch, only a cruel sense of possession. At the climax of their matin g, Xavier bit down hard on Aria's neck, leaving the werewolves' mating mark.
