Chapter Fourteen

Gina’s P.O.V

A couple of hours had passed since Charlotte’s stupid ‘’escape attempt’’ this morning and I was still in Brian’s room. We were watching some movie, to be honest, I wasn't paying much attention, We had been kissing and making out for most of it.

‘Well, well, well, What’s going on here?’ When I heard a voice, I pulled away from Bri again and looked up, Relaxing when I saw it was only Rob.

Thank god.

‘Do you mind if I talk to Brian for a minute?’ he asked. Shaking my head, He got off the bed and walked over to his friend and the pair left the room.

Laying back on the bed, I let out a loud sigh.

This past day and a half had been so confusing...

I waited... And waited... And waited and eventually, the pair came back into the room, followed by Charlotte.

I sat up and Charlotte sat next to me. The guys remained standing.

‘Right, Listen to girls. Me and Brian want to talk to you about something’. Rob spoke. Brian’s face was so serious… What was wrong?

‘Well...The guys will be going out again soon for work and such... So, If you want to leave then... You can. We understand and we won’t come after you’. Brian explained sadly. Me and Charlotte just looked at each other. ‘But you will need to go soon and you can never come back. It’s too risky’.

‘I’m staying’. I blurted out before I realised what I was saying. Brian just looked at me, I smiled at him.

‘Are you nuts?!’ Charlotte yelled, I shook my head.

‘No, I just.. Don’t want to go. I told her honestly.

Was I making the wrong choice? Should I grab her hand and run as fast as I could and never look back. Never give Brian and this whole ordeal another thought?

Forget he even existed?

I stole a look at Brian quickily and saw a smile on his face. He was happy I was staying. I looked at Charlotte again.

‘What about you? Are you gonna leave?’ I asked Roberts headshot to her.

‘Well..’ She was in two minds, I could see it. It was obvious. ‘No.. How can I? I’m not leaving my baby sister here’. She told me, Smiling sadly. She wasn’t happy with her choice. Rob tried to hide his smile and failed.

Had I just made the biggest mistake of my life?

Charlotte’s P.O.V

‘Well... No... How can I? I’m not leaving my baby sister here’. I told Gina, Sadly. She trapped me. I WASN’T going to abandon her, but I didn’t want to be here. She knew I wouldn't leave her, How would I explain that one to mum and dad.

If I ran and then told the police… She’d never forgive me and I’d lose my sister anyway. No matter what I did.. I was screwed.

I looked at Rob, He had the biggest smile on his face. Gina stood up and walked over to Brian and kissed him lightly on the cheek. It made my stomach turn how happy and forgetful she was being.

I could blame her for this as much as I wanted to, But sister loyalty and everything else aside, Giving the honest-to-god option, I probably still wouldn’t go.

There was something about Robert that drew me in, For as long as I felt safe, I wanted to stick around near him, learn more about him...

I stood up and joined the other three in their conversation about how we would have to keep quiet and what lie could Brian and Robert come up with to explain Gina and I’s sudden disappearance.

Just then, The door opened and in walked Damon. He saw me and Gina and instantly lost his s**t;

‘What the f**k is going on here?!’ He screamed...
